"Hmph!" Kris Cooper said, a smirk playing on his lips. "Is that so?"
Liliana Davis's face fell. "It seems Mr. Cooper doesn't trust me. If that's the case, then anything more I say would be pointless."
A staff member, noticing the tense atmosphere between the two, quickly stood up to smooth things over. "Today's discussion was intended for everyone to freely share their views. I'm sure we all have various ideas for our city's future development, which we can explore further in our next session. We won't take up any more of your valuable time today. That concludes our meeting. Thank you all for making time in your busy schedules to be here!" And with that, the meeting concluded.
The staff member then turned to Nathan Leafcastle. "Mr. Leafcastle, there's an approval document for the Barker Group that requires your signature."
Nathan Leafcastle left with the staff member, and the others rose and began to leave the conference room.
