Watching Irene Spencer stagger forward, Ria Chapman began to sneer.
"Next time, don't even think about stealing someone else's husband. Watch out for ghosts at night! Look at her, doesn't she look like a drowned dog?"
A few girls laughed together. Irene's hands, hanging at her sides, clenched tight, yet she was helpless.
"Ria, can we post this on Facebook?" a girl came over and asked.
"Are you stupid? Having a little fun is fine, but don't go too far." Ria Chapman rolled her eyes at the girl. "If things get out of hand, my dad would kill me."
After everything that had happened, Ria Chapman had learned her lesson. Although she still loved shenanigans, she knew there were boundaries.
"Let's go, let's head to the wine shop. I need to buy some wine for my dad."
The girls cheerfully went to the wine shop, and the thought of Irene's earlier state drew fresh laughter from them.
