At least, lovers finally become family.

On the day of her funeral, those who could take leave did so. Later, not having seen Flossie Wright, Becca Reyes went around asking before finding out the specifics.
She couldn't bear to part with Belinda Nichols either.
But, the one who couldn't bear it the most was probably Flossie Wright, right?
So, they tacitly agreed not to mention it to Flossie Wright, fearing that someone as smart as her would catch on, they hadn't even gone looking for her.
