"I..." Iria Lindsay hesitated, then lifted the corner of her mouth in self-mockery, "Captain Xavier thinks I'm publicizing private grievances, huh? Well... I... I admit, I like you, and seeing you together makes me uncomfortable... you could even say I'm jealous!"
James Xavier was stunned; he didn't expect Iria Lindsay to be so direct.
The matter suddenly turned from business to personal, leaving him slightly bewildered.
"Iria!" James Xavier picked up the lighter from the table, "It's getting late, get some rest. We'll discuss the case in the meeting tomorrow."
Iria Lindsay looked up, gazed at him for a moment, then suddenly raised her arm to embrace him, moving towards his lips for a kiss.
The sudden kiss also left James Xavier momentarily lost, but once he regained his senses, he instinctively raised his hand and pushed Iria Lindsay away.
Iria Lindsay stepped back two paces, nearly losing her balance.
