"You... you let me go... I'll go back to my room, I promise I won't cause any more trouble."
"Promise?" Phoebe chuckled softly, "Your promises always seem to lack any power!"
"Then..." Fifteen glanced at the window, "I'll just sleep here, don't stuff my mouth with a towel again, I promise to be quiet."
She really didn't want to be suffocated by a towel.
Phoebe propped herself up, pink eyes narrowing as she leaned closer to her face.
"Quiet?"
"Quiet!"
"Not a sound?"
"Promise not a sound!"
"No moving?"
"Absolutely no moving!"
"Good." Phoebe lay back down, "Sleep."
The night quieted once more, a man and a woman lay side by side on the broad bronze bed, seemingly as a couple, yet with different dreams in mind.
Phoebe closed her eyes, while Fifteen was wide-eyed, waiting in the darkness.
Waiting and waiting...
Time always seemed extraordinarily slow while waiting, her eyes wide open, watching the pointer of the Victorian standing clock in the corner turning.
Five minutes.
