Elly Campbell forced a smile as she walked over and crouched down in front of her.
"Helen."
She called her softly, her voice tinged with a faint loneliness.
"What's wrong?"
Helen Melendy looked down at her.
Elly Campbell had never imagined that facing someone directly could require so much courage.
She buried her face in Helen Melendy's lap, and after a long while, she whispered:
"I've found out who poisoned you."
She felt Helen Melendy's body slightly tense, then relaxed with a smile:
"Isn't it good that you've found out? Why do you look like this?"
Elly Campbell pressed her lips together, her eyes felt a bit sore.
She lifted her gaze to Helen Melendy, mustering all her courage as she spoke:
"It was Shirley."
Helen Melendy's expression changed, her disbelief evident as she repeated: "Shirley?"
Though she wasn't familiar with Shirley, lately Shirley had been taking care of her diligently, without the slightest neglect.
