Hannah Taylor called Laura Jones a "great writer", just a friendly tease, and didn't think much of it.
But what is said unintentionally can be taken deliberately, and opposite her, Selim wasn't pleased.
Recalling the sarcasm in Hannah's voice when she called her "writer" that day, her face darkened slightly.
She felt that Hannah said this on purpose to provoke her.
She didn't believe for a second that Laura hadn't told Hannah the reason for the treat before they came, and now Hannah was bringing it up just to make her a laughingstock.
Selim gripped the menu tightly with her hand in anger.
Looking at the prices on the menu, a cold smile curled her lips.
Inviting us to dinner, right? Then I won't be polite at all.
The group called the waiter over, and after they each ordered a few dishes, the waiter gave Selim an odd look.
Out of duty, the waiter reminded:
"Miss Taylor, there are only three of you, and you've ordered a bit too much."
