Chapter 3 - A sin of war

Long ago, during the Trojan War. Ares was deciding how to end the bloody war once and for all and wipe out the Greek side.

His sister, Athena, had not supported him, and went to the rival side, the Greek. He decided that he would fight against Hercules and Athena in the Final battle, while Aphrodite fought against Hera.

Before that they received a small gift from the Greeks, which seemed a form of surrender, but Ares did not trust, so he decided that the Trojan soldiers would guard him.

It was a wooden horse, which could be easily burned.

In the early morning, while everyone was sleeping, soldiers infiltrated inside the wooden horse and massacred every single Trojan soldier.

And so began the final battle of Troy.

With various attacks coming from all sides, Ares enters the battlefield while Apollo fights Poseidon.

Ares wipes out every human life on the Greek side.

— "I'll kill every one of these damned Greeks."

Athena with her spear and shield lashes out at Ares, which Ares returns 100 slashes in less than 5s, but it's not enough to damage Athena.

— "You've gotten stronger, Athena." Ares acknowledges.

— "After all, I want to be a goddess of war just the same. I don't want to be a mere strategist. I don't understand why you defend the Trojans." Athena replies.

— "Goddess of war? You must be joking." With a glare at her.

Athena shows her determination towards her brother, and with her spear pierces Ares' armor, but Ares breaks his Spear with extreme ease.

— "You're still a child, little sister."

He leaves Athena lying unconscious on the ground. Hermes appears and takes Athena to Olympus.

Apollo defeats Poseidon and begins to remove the younger Trojan citizens. While Hera fights Aphrodite.

Zeus enters the battlefield, and with defiant eyes sees his son.

— "Boy are you a dog of Aphrodite, Ares."

Ares gets angry when he hears that and cuts off one of Zeus' arms, but it was an illusion and Zeus paralyzes him with a bolt of lightning that falls from the sky.

It begins to rain slowly, each drop of rain reflects a feeling of Ares, each drop of rain is a tear of Athena, he knows well. Athena wants to be like him. And he protects the Trojans, for wanting to avoid Zeus and Hera.

— "Father. Because of you, Athena is not happy. That's why I will kill you."

Zeus gets tired and leaves Ares half dead lying on the ground.

— "You're a garbage son, Athena is much better off without you." He glares at him and with a great wave of lightning wipes out half the city, and kills in his eyes one of his fellow Trojans.

Ares breaks, his heart breaks, his soul has died, he simply cannot understand his emotions.

And his first voice in his mind was that of his sister Athena when they were young.

— "Little brother... I want you to be strong.... And I want to be just like you... I promise to protect you." Ares cries.

A red aura and demonic eyes. Ares has gone mad. His emotion for the war. His excitement to fight, fills him with Energy.

— "I'll kill them all!"

Ares begins to mercilessly kill every human being that appears to him, Zeus tries to calm him down, but it's not enough against Ares. Apollo puts him to sleep but, he wakes up immediately, punching Apollo.

Ares begins to destroy the little that is left of Troy, Apollo tries to save as much as he can, but he begins to worry about the lives of the remaining humans.

Ares kills mercilessly, losing his sanity more and more. This is the true form of the god of war. Also called 'Bersek's form'.

His Berserk form, only appearing when his emotions are out of control, once Hestia, his aunt, saw his ability and was able to calm him down.

But Hestia was too busy to help at the time. Hermes brings Athena, to see if she can solve the problem.

— "Ares... His aura... Is of an assassin..." Athena says fearfully but, she sets out to Help him however she can, no matter if she must die in the process.

Hermes distracts Ares, but receives an axe in the chest that cuts him deeply and when he is about to be decapitated, he manages to be saved by Athena who defends him with her shield.

— "Ares! Calm down." Ares ignores Athena.

Ares begins to Attack her, finally losing his sanity. Athena defends herself with her shield, and grabs a spear from one of the Greek soldiers, and tries to thrust it into Ares' leg.

Ares stops Athena's hand and takes her Spear from her. He pierces Athena and falls to the ground.

Ares in his mind has several memories of his sister, who was the first one he could trust, the first one he could show his love to, and the only one who has supported him from the beginning.

He thinks of all the times they have had and how he loves her.

Ares awakens from his trance and sees Athena in his arms, bleeding out.

— "Athena!" Ares exclaims sobbing - "I didn't want to do this..." He breaks down in tears as he holds her.

— "Her... Little brother... You... You are not to blame..." Athena says as she slowly loses consciousness.

Artemis, Hera and Hermes arrive like lightning. While Apollo faints Ares.

That's how the Trojan War ended, and Ares understood that he was a danger to every living being. He only hopes that someone can understand him, as his sister does, and so he will do anything to see her smile.

Some time after everyone went back to making passes he asked Hephaestus for Armor. The armor of war, which nullified his out of control, unless he breaks enough.

Currently. Ares Throws an Axe at full power at Arthur, which Arthur takes full and Excalibur takes damage.

Ares' demonic eyes finally make their presence known. The fear on the part of the Greek gods was evident, as Arthur could be slaughtered.

But the latter remained brave to the end, as he watched the Tribune. And he saw a goddess, beautiful as the moon, her blue eyes and hair of the same color, and her gaze glowed in Arthur's heart, but she received an axe in one of her fingers, which was cut off.

— "I have seen the true paradise. It was worth losing the finger. You god of war, you have finally unleashed your power." Arthur comments.

Ares wrapped in Madness continues to relentlessly attack Arthur, but a serene voice with a loud voice says a simple word.

— "Enough!"

Ares stops, and Arthur smiles at the very sky above him, while his heart is pounding at the top of his lungs. The goddess who spoke that word, was none other than Athena.

Ares regains his posture and his sanity.

— "Thank you sister! Now I'll finish you off Arthur." Ares says enthusiastically, now with his power unleashed.

— "Your god Ares, who is she?" Arthur asks Ares.

— "What are you talking about, you mean Athena?" questions Ares.

— "Athena... She's the girl of my dreams." Arthur says, relaxed, not caring about the battle.

— "What did you just say about my sister? Damn you now if I kill you."

Arthur fell in love with Athena.
