Chapter 109 - The Cruelest Dawn of Helia

Dawn in Helia was always filled with birds chirping, the sun coming over the horizon, Lycans getting ready to go about their days and lives that were lived normally.

They were always a functional society every dawn, and it was a beauty to behold on most days, especially those when it wasn't winter season.

It wasn't winter.

But dawn was not the usual.

Screams of agony from the Helia dungeons. Mourners trying to keep their voices low. Lycans who were trying to make sense of their new reality. Children crying for fathers and mothers, who they would never even get to see their bodies again.

Helia was a mess.

It had been like that for the past three days.

Hell.

However, it couldn't be worse than what was happening in the palace square.

Perhaps Helia was truly what hell was supposed to look like, right?

"You defied me. Thought you would get away with it," King Agust's voice rippled across the crowd that had gathered in the palace square.
