They were looking at him like he held their lives in his hands, and he just didn't care enough. If Jiminie hadn't insisted, Agust wouldn't have been bothered. It was his reality with this bunch of psychos anyway.
"The only reason any of you have an extra moment to breathe and live is because of my Jiminie. You can go home, but make no mistake: you hurt him, you die. You look at him with disrespect or disdain, you die.
"You piss him off, you die. You talk shit about him, Helia burns. Get the fuck out of my sight and never pull this stunt again," Agust warned.
His face wasn't relaxed.
It held the same horror they had been seeing for the past few months, and instinctively, the Lycans stepped back. It was not something they could gamble their lives on, which was more than August could say for their sanities.
