Raven casually picked at his food as he watched the two schools do their flashy entrances, kinda sucked, could have used more explosions, at least in his professional opinion as a master of entrances.
"Thank you for the brilliant entrances Drumstrang and Beaubaxtons, a few things before we begin eating." Albus said and Raven just shoved a piece of his dinner in his mouth.
"As I'm sure you're own headmaster has informed you, teachers from your school have come along with you, however our own staff is more then available if you wish to participate in our classes. This year and next year we have a special class, Magus Studies under own dear Magican, Raven Inanis." Albus said with a twinkle in his eye as Raven cursed the man to trip over his large cloak in public.
If he could, he'd curse the man with dressing properly, but even curses have limits.
"Thank you Albus, I am Raven Inanis, I teach Magus Studies, you are free to join, but you will also be required to do the homework." Raven said simply before focusing on his food again, he ignored the looks of shock the foreign students wore.
"That said, let us begin dinner!" Albus said after he spoke for a few more minutes, Raven didn't particularly care about that stuff.
•~~~~~•
"Now before I dismiss everyone for the night, I have one final thing." He said and Raven snapped his fingers as a large glowing goblet seemed to form in front of the staff table.
"The goblet of fire, and the item in charge of choosing who shall participate in the triwizard tournament. Fame and glory, yours to try and claim, at the cost of risking your life. A thousand gallons to win. Simply write your name on a piece of paper and drop it in, on Halloween night, the names shall be drawn. Just known, lives have been lost in this tournament, so precautions have been taken, only those of age, 18 years old, may participate." Albus said with finality at the end.
Several students groaned in disappointment at not being able to participate, and Raven chucked softly.
"For those of you itching to test yourselves, I will be hosting my own little tournament, test your medal, the top three winners shall be rewarded greatly. The sign up sheet shall be posted to my classroom wall." Raven spoke up with a grin.
"I will be hosting two different tournaments, ones for those fourth year and under, and those from fifth to seventh year." Raven said after a moment and then sat down with smugness radiating off of him.
•~~~~~•
Raven softly hummed a tune to himself as he sat on the back of Rose as she did push ups, but he was under a gravity spell to increase the weight of himself. To add some challenge to it.
"If you could, would you participate in the tournament?" Raven asked Rose who grunted and took a deep breath before responding.
"I wouldn't enter."
"Why?"
"Stupid."
"Ok, and what's the real reason?" Raven questioned, but she stayed silent and he only sighed, and out of pettiness increased the weight of himself a bit as she now struggled to do the pushups.
"Dickhead." She grunted out and he grinned.
•~~~~~•
"Now, slowly channel the mana through you and into me, nice and slowly." Raven said as he and Rose sat across from each other, her hand in his as a blue glow covered her hand. "Don't force it, be gentle and imagine filling an ice cube tray from a sink, to hard and it overflows, to weak and you spend five years turning it off and on." Raven tried to explain properly.
Raven felt her mana flow into him and smiled as he intertwined it with his own before reflecting back into her as she gasped in shock.
"Ow!"
"Don't stop once you succeed, you have to carefully withdraw the little pipes feeding the mana." Raven said as he unclamped their hands, a wave of his hand had her pain vanishing.
"Isn't there other ways of doing mana transfers?" Rose asked annoyed and he grinned.
"If you wish to do the tantric methods, then very well." Raven waited a moment for her to remember what it meant and laughed as she went beat red. He cracked as she kicked him away and stood up hastily to start throwing flaming spears at him.
A casual wave of his hand had them break apart into small embers as they splashed harmlessly against him.
"Thanks for warming me up." He teased her before he narrowed his eyes as he looked to the side. He stared in that direction for a moment before shaking his head.
"If you wish to spar, then very well, we shall spar. Prepare yourself apprentice, I shall make your bones into jelly." Raven grinned as Rose paled, especially when Malevolent appeared in his hand, specifically staff form, the form he used to smack people around when he was amused.
"I surrender?"
"Denied~"
Her screams echoed about.
•~~~~~•
Raven stared in shock as he stared at the sword impaled in his chest, but despite it all, he felt accomplished, he looked around, all he saw was a blurred figure holding the sword impaled in his chest, behind him he could see a child with startling familiar green eyes.
However as he looked back down to the blade in his chest, he could only feel a smile forming on his face.
"So that's how it is huh?" He mused as black invaded his vision, the sounds of screams echoed in the distance, however it mattered not.
Raven Le Fay had died with a smile on his face.
•~~~~~•
Raven sat up with a gasp as he clutched his chest tightly enough that he ripped part of his skin off, but it regrew instantly.
He could feel his two hearts beating at a million beats a second, it was honestly impressive they hadn't ruptured.
He took a deep breath, his first in a while, and stared at his shaking hands. He could feel the phantom pain of that sword impaled in his chest, the aura radiating off it even now.
"Which makes no damn sense. It was just a dream, or maybe a vision of my future?" Raven mused aloud before sighing as he slumped and fell back down against his bed.
"If it was a vision, then perhaps it'll make sense then." He mused before sighing as he got up, he'd go hunt down dead apostles to calm himself down.
•~~~~~•
The population of dead apostles in the world dropped by 47% in just a quarter of the night.
•~~~~~•
Raven watched with cold eyes as he stared at the dead apostle clawing at his leg, but their claws couldn't even damage his pants, let alone his skin.
"Rest, you can rest now." He murmured as he drove his hand into their chest, ripping out their heart.
"Thank. You." The dead apostle stopped struggling as they said two final words and died.
"This is a new experience." Raven murmured to himself as he stared at his bloody hand and the dead body at his feet. "Rest easy." He said and walked off.

Rose Potter sat in the great hall, it was October 31st, and how she hated this day, something always happened today, without exception. She wished Raven was here, but he was who knows where. His seat at the staff table sat empty.
Which was odd, since he usually at least attended the feast, maybe he had some duties at the clocktower?
"Attention!" Rose started paying proper attention as Albus stood in front of the Goblet of Fire, it was brimming with blue flames, almost as if excited.
No, it was definitely excited. The research Raven had her do on the artifact wasn't small. It possessed a level of sentience, nothing quite so alive, but very much so existing.
"We stand here together, schools united." She should probably pay attention to what Albus was saying…
"Now we will begin the name drawing, if your name is called, head through the door besides me." Albus said as the goblet spat out a small piece of paper.
"Fleur Delacour!"
The whole hall burst into applause as that blonde veela girl stood up and strutted her way to the door. As if this was the expected result.
"Viktor Krum!"
Again the hall burst into applause, especially the quidditch players. He also moved as if the result was expected, and she had a feeling that these two had been prepared beforehand for the tournament, given the best training.
It only made sense after all.
"Cedric Diggory!"
Rose ignored the loud clapping as she felt a large amount of relief, Hogwarts had its champion. There was no way she'd be chosen now that the three champions were called-
She only stared with cold dread as a fourth and final piece of paper came out the blue flames, she could feel the binding contract sinking into soul, letting her know if she didn't participate, she'd lose her magic.
"Rose Potter!"
Rose didn't know what happened, but everything was spinning, the hall started blurring. She tried to get up, but the floor seemed to get closer, she heard yells, but then she felt her flames and sudddnly she was in the forbidden forest, huddled up.
She leaned against a tree and slid down it, her knees pulled up to her chest as tears poured down her face. Her hands shaking.
She didn't want to participate! She didn't want to die! She didn't want to be bound by a contract like this!
In her mind, the image of a closet under the stairs flashed. She started shaking harder.
She panicked as she felt a hand on her head, looking up she stared into a pair of familiar blue eyes and she flung herself into his chest, her sobs the only sound as he held her.
Rose Potter will forever depend on Raven Inanis to be her pillar when she needed him.

Raven hummed softly as he flew through the air, idly doing tricks as he passed things. He felt relaxed and content as he finally let himself slow glide through the sky with a rare gentleness.
He took in the sights, just taking in everything. The beauty of nature, of the world. It didn't quite compare to the faelands, but it was still quite vivid.
"What a great sight." Raven smiled as he stopped his movement as he overlooked a great view. It was a snowy mountain with the sun slowly vanishing behind it illuminating the sky in a fiery orange brilliance.
As he slowly traversed the snowy mountain with no rush he felt the familiar sensation of someone trying to call him via magical circle.
"Albus?" Raven asked confused before he 'answer' the call. "Did the goblet somehow evolve into a holy grail war?" Raven teased with a grin, he went to say another joke, and heard the deep sigh from Albus and paused.
"Holy shit was I right!?" Raven really want to question the specifics behinds that, because no way that goblet had enough energy- no wait, it definitely had enough time to gather energy over the couple hundred years since its last used.
"Thankfully not. It is Rose, during the ceremony for the choosing of champions, which you were supposed to attend, that a fourth name came out the goblet." Albus didn't need to state the obvious.
"Do you know who did it?" Raven asked coldly, he would flay whoever thought they could get away with this. No one gets away with harming his people. He won't just stop at flaying either, that'll just be the start. He will-
"No, but I do have an idea. I will look into it. That's not what's important thought, upon her name being drawn, Rose seemed to have a panic attacked and somehow teleported away via flames like Fawkes, and said Phoenix is currently away." Albus said and Raven understood.
"I'll be back in five seconds." Raven said as he opened a portal and appeared floating above Hogwarts.
"I will leave it to you then." Albus said and hung up.
"Now where are you my apprentice?" Raven mused to himself before a giant magic circle formed in the sky, invisible to most under a large scale illusion. It first covered the castle, then the forbidden forest and kept expanding till it covered half the world when it got a ping for its desired target.
In the next moment he was flying across the world, his bones broke from the sheer speed he used, but they healed in that next moment.
"Found you." Raven noted area as he arrived, it was the spot where he and Rose first met in Surrey. Where he sent those punks running off. Back in his wild days.
(As if he's not still in that time and even worse…)
"So hides the runaway princess." Raven stared down at Rose as he placed a hand on her head and gently rubbed it. Blue and green eyes locked for just a moment, and then she had flung herself at him and cried into his chest.
His enhanced hearing could hear the rapid beating of her heart, no doubt from her panic attack. He held her for a solid hour as he waited for her to calm down. He used that hour to plan the torture session for whoever caused this panic attack.
"Wanna talk about it?" Raven decided to channel his therapist for the moment, it wouldn't do for his usual snark at the moment.
They sat in silence for fifteen minutes, and eventually Rose spoke.
"It reminds me of the Dursley's. Of being locked up against my will, not having a choice or suffering. All I can see are flashes of that cupboard under the stairs in that home. The darkness, the spiders that were my only friends growing up." Rose clutched him tighter at the memory of all that, and he just ignored his bones breaking from her raw strength.
"So you feel this contract with the goblet is the same thing?" Raven asked as he subtly traced the contract inside of her and to her magical core. He could see its connection the goblet, but also linked towards something else, but it was barely visible that second connection.
"Yes, I don't want to loose my magic. I don't care about the community, but I can't loose my magic!" Raven prevented the gasp from escaping his mouth as he stared down at the teary eyed face looking up at him.
He had to restrict every instinct in him yelling to do a full powered attack to wipe out all those who caused it.
"You won't, I promise you that. I may not be able to intervene in this, but I swear, you will become a force so strong that this tournament is a joke for you. You'll be able to look back and wonder why you ever panicked." Raven swore to her as she looked up at him with big doe like eyes.
She just hugged him tighter when he nodded his head and he just managed to hide a wheeze as more of his bones cracked. For the child of a non combative, she's very damn strong, which says a lot about Hestia.
"Now, let's get you back to the castle. You need a bath and sleep." Raven declared as he picked her up like a bag of potatoes.
"Put me down!" She grumbled, but did nothing about it or even tried escaping. He gave a soft chuckle before he opened a portal back to Hogwarts. He'll tell her about teleporting at another time.

I just realized I forgot to put the iconic line in, but don't want to rewrite it in, fucking damnit!
Apologies for the wait, it's been a busy couple weeks for me. Shit just keeps on breaking and needing replaced, or people calling out of work. Like can I just win the lottery already?
Anyways I had a curious idea for a new story. This time it involved an MC that isn't a megalomaniac, more or less… we all know how all my MC's are. So he will possesses an essence from CYOA list, specifically two. [Blank] and [Planeswalker] are the two, but instead of a human, they're an Angel originating from DxD Heaven.
It'll be interesting to write about him traversing worlds and learning that becoming an Angel after being a human is not easy, especially when you can't give into the lust and other sins you enjoyed as a human freely. No systems. Just pure chaos gremlins angel who squirts the line of falling every moment.
If you'd be interested in that let me know, if not, I've got a devil version made, at least the story guideline. All of it planned, I've just never gotten around to putting words to pages. It's already almost at 200 chapters planned lol.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter.
Until next time!
Bye~
