Leon's POV
I could already tell that something was about to happen.
At this point, the entire town had already been completely evacuated, leaving behind empty streets and silent buildings without a single civilian anywhere in sight. The place almost looked abandoned, as though everyone had accepted that a battlefield was about to take shape here sooner rather than later.
Calling it nothing more than an assumption wouldn't really be accurate.
A full-scale war was literally about to break out in this very place, and everybody who mattered already knew that.
Right now, I was sitting quietly on top of one of the rooftops, my eyes fixed on the distant horizon while waiting for the inevitable. I had absolutely no idea when they would finally show themselves, but I could already feel it in my gut.
This was going to become one hell of a fight before the day was over.
