"I think it's a reasonable price, honestly, and I also believe this arrangement could help the duchy quite a lot once everything is properly settled," I told him.
"Well, it is not really a duchy anymore," he replied, correcting me with a faintly tired expression. "In fact, I intend to ask the kingdom to officially recognize this land as a territory of the Milham Kingdom. I believe that would be the better choice for everyone here, especially since the King does not seem like the kind of person who would treat us the same way the former duke did."
