"You seem really busy," Anna said to me, watching me for a moment with a slightly concerned expression.
"Well, it has been a pretty hectic month," I replied, letting out a small sigh as I thought about everything that had been happening lately. "Things have been going downhill in quite a few areas, and the war shows absolutely no sign of letting up. If anything, it keeps escalating, and that has been taking up most of my time lately. That is also the reason why I haven't written you a letter for quite a while."
"Well, I understand that," she said, giving me a small smile. "I'm honestly not that angry that you haven't written to me for a while. I don't think anyone would get particularly mad if their husband was busy protecting the country they were living in, right?"
I immediately went silent after hearing that.
