Elena begin to fidget, forming pain just from a little cut
But it seems her toes suffered a little...she won't be able to wear those heels feeling all and mighty
"Thank you my good sir!"... Basking her face with pain and freight,she winced her thanks to the kind good sir
"It's not a problem. I shouldn't have let you take hold of a sword."
Ronald felt funny that he ended up entertaining Isabella in a weird way.
"The princess told me it was delicate, I had to prove her wrong somehow!"...Still wearing the victim's shoe, Ronald for once feels this girl is just an idiot.
Who hurts themselves just to prove others wrong
"Well..."
A sharp entry interrupted him swiftly. The cold gaze from the general himself. Not seeing how he expected to see made him frown
"General Alexander!"...Elena was more than happy to take a cut. She thought she should have made it more deeper, because now her favorite man is here to see her
"I heard someone was injured!"....He said coldly, Sebastian wanted to smack him so bad,he didn't let him finish before dashing outside and straight to the infirmary with the thought that the princess Isabella had hurt herself
"Well yes... it's just an accident. The princess didn't mean it!"...Her perfunctory words made the men in standing raise their brows
Elena sensing confusion quickly clarify
"She called me delicate and that I can't handle a sword. Though I know the basis but I don't know how my hand slipped and cut myself."
Drying away the tears they never saw... Ronald coughs not trying to expose her but someone didn't care at all
"If you want to create mischief...go do that in your town. And keep drying those tears alright because if I hear a different story from my Isabel I'll make sure you cry out a thousand buckets"
His cold voice sends more than shivers down their spines
Fear gripped Elena's heart. She didn't for once think she had escalated the story.
Though Isabella did call her delicate but what she said afterwards might make general Alexander do well on his promise.
Ronald didn't spare her any glance,walked out to find Isabella
A swift pause...
Alexander didn't expect to see Lord Elliot in a seat next to Isabella chatting away with no care
She's to practice swords not chat during practice. Alex thought,his disgust was to no end as he remembered the night where Eliot kissed Isabella's forehead so openly.
How dare that young goat?
Ronald was also surprised
He just went right in and take a seat
"Lord Elliot!"...he humbly greeted. With a kind nod Eliot responded
Lord Elliot and his family are in higher rank compared to Ronald's. No one addressed him as Lord Ronald yet. The sudden urge to take the lord's title fill Ronald's soul
"So.... how's your fair maiden doing?"... Isabella said between her munching of her biscuits
"She's more than well!"... Ronald replied with a blush on his face. He felt embarrassed
"So this is what you do here...?"...Alex scolding tone was finally heard
All rise except Isabella...
"Naughty and ill mannered I see!"...he grits his teeth in anger
"Thanks to you I'm straightening up quite nicely!"...she didn't stop eating. In between his angry brows he smiled.
She was always like this, eating without a care in the world. Back then she'll scream out loud that her favorite thing to do is eat!
Alex sighs...he had indulged her too much
"Enjoy it then... I'll send the maids to bring up something else. Strawberry cake for instance!"...
He raised his head... waiting for her reaction..
"Really....yes... I would love to eat that. And some chestnut cake too Alex!"...
Everyone was surprised
From her harsh tone to somewhat gentle and playful
Alexander knew that would get her. Despite looking tough outside, she's still the Isabella he watched growing up
Patting her hair,he felt satisfied,all his anger melting away
"Alex!"...a voice reached out. No one calls the general by his name except the princess
All heads turn it's princess Elena.
She thought if Isabella can call him by his name why can't she?
"I'm sorry about earlier, I hope you won't be mad at me?".... giving Isabella a guilty look, hoping she'll shut up. Unfortunately she didn't get the hint,or pretend not to
"I see you're fine. How's the cut?"
Elena could swear she felt blood clot in her chest...
Just shut up! She yelled in her mind
"She said you instigated her to it!"...Alex said rather calmly still patting her hair
"Well... I wouldn't say I did. She said swords are dangerous and her dear brother didn't let her hold it. I told her she's delicate and she said for someone that needs strict hands to be perfect, I'm are doing well at swordsmanship!"
Isabella didn't hesitate to tell him all what happened afterwards. How she glitter with interest at the sword because Ronald showed up.
Each pat on her hair made Alex more calmer than before
Elliot on the other hand knew the princess can be childish sometimes but he never knew she was this petty too
He gave a gentle chuckle,almost forgetting why he came in the first place
"Let this be the first and the last time woman!"...he roared. His gentle gaze was reserved for one person,others didn't seem to make the cut " And don't you dare address me by my name. It's general Alexander to you!"
Elena was more than embarrassed,she felt so ashamed and ran out with real tears on her face.
Elliot soon told the princess of his new found love and his desire to be removed from her suitors list
"I wish you long life time of happiness with your lover!"...
Ushering gifts, Isabella's day was more than amazing
Meanwhile
Hehehe....
Subtle laughs followed
"Isabella is one thing....! Alex is another!"...
The queen laughed
Hearing of Elena's stupidity made mee more pleased
But the need to act fast is knocking
First she have to get Isabella a husband
Then force the law on Alex.
