By this point, Riezel had naturally already figured out the comparative system between levels in YGGDRASIL and levels in the world of Danmachi.
Although this only applied under normal circumstances and did not account for special exceptions, under typical conditions, the level of equivalence between the two worlds was roughly as follows:
Levels 1–14 in YGGDRASIL were equivalent to Level 1 in Danmachi.
Levels 15–28 in YGGDRASIL were equivalent to Level 2 in Danmachi.
Levels 29–42 in YGGDRASIL were equivalent to Level 3 in Danmachi.
Levels 43–56 in YGGDRASIL were equivalent to Level 4 in Danmachi.
Levels 57–70 in YGGDRASIL were equivalent to Level 5 in Danmachi.
Finally, Levels 71–85 roughly corresponded to Level 6, while Levels 86–100 roughly corresponded to Level 7.
Hence, in the world of Overlord, reaching Level 29—considered entry into the Realm of Heroes—was equivalent to Level 3, while Level 100 max-level players such as Ainz and the many Floor Guardians were equivalent to Level 7.
Under such a framework, it became easy to calculate the levels of monsters summoned through different tiers of magic.
After all, it had already been stated before that in YGGDRASIL, the levels of monsters summoned by different tiers of summoning magic varied, and this corresponded exactly to the levels at which magic job class players could learn those specific tiers.
Players at Levels 1–7 could learn 1st Tier Magic, so monsters summoned using 1st Tier summoning magic would also fall within Levels 1–7.
Players at Levels 8–14 could learn 2nd Tier Magic, so monsters summoned using 2nd Tier summoning magic would also fall within Levels 8–14.
And since Levels 1–14 in YGGDRASIL corresponded to Level 1 in the world of Danmachi, in other words, monsters summoned using 1st Tier and 2nd Tier summoning magic were equivalent to Level 1 creatures.
By extension, monsters summoned using 3rd Tier (Levels 15–21) and 4th Tier (Levels 22–28) summoning magic were equivalent to Level 2.
Monsters summoned using 5th Tier (Levels 29–35) and 6th Tier (Levels 36–42) summoning magic were equivalent to Level 3.
Monsters summoned using 7th Tier (Levels 43–49) and 8th Tier (Levels 50–56) summoning magic were equivalent to Level 4.
Finally, monsters summoned using 9th Tier (Levels 57–63) and 10th Tier (Levels 64–70) summoning magic were equivalent to Level 5.
Magic job class players in YGGDRASIL learned a new tier of magic every 7 levels.
Every two tiers—every 14 levels—corresponded to one level in the world of Danmachi.
Given that, the Eight-Edge Assassins that Riezel had previously summoned using 7th Tier summoning magic were considered Level 4 within this system, and in YGGDRASIL, they were Level 49 monsters.
Of course, this comparison only applied when considering levels alone.
Even though the Eight-Edge Assassins were equivalent to Level 4, they possessed invisibility abilities, making them more effective than even Level 5 monsters under certain conditions.
For that reason, Riezel frequently used summoning magic to call them forth.
The same principle also applied to adventurers in the world of Danmachi, because even if their levels differed, they still possessed magic and skills in addition to their levels.
Likewise, monsters in the world of Overlord could possess special abilities or unique skills.
Adventurers in the world of Danmachi had magic, skills, and even development abilities.
All of the above comparisons referred only to levels and only under normal circumstances. If some players in YGGDRASIL didn't possess any job classes, then even at the maximum Level 100, they would likely be unable to defeat a Level 1 opponent.
By the same logic, if a summoned monster possessed extremely powerful special abilities, it could even challenge opponents of a higher level in the world of Danmachi, making the overall balance highly uneven.
However, in general, if Riezel used 10th-Tier Magic to call monsters for support, then even without considering special abilities, the summoned monsters would still be equivalent to Level 5.
Sadly, this strength was fixed.
Monsters summoned through 10th-Tier Magic were limited to Levels 64–70, corresponding to Level 5. Even if Riezel possessed the abilities of Mage and Magic Chant, wielded mystical artifacts that amplified magic, and had MAG and an overall level far exceeding the Level 64–70 range, he still could not summon creatures above Level 70.
It was the same as the fixed level-boosting effect of Uchide no Kozuchi—the level of creatures summoned through summoning magic was locked. No matter how high Riezel's level became, he could not make them any stronger unless he possessed abilities that specifically enhanced summoning magic.
However, as previously mentioned, while the level of summoned creatures would not increase alongside Riezel's strength, an increase in his strength would allow him to summon more monsters. He would no longer be limited to a single summon, nor would he need to deliberately use high-tier summoning magic to call low-level monsters simply to increase their numbers.
With that in mind, even at Level 6, Riezel could already use 10th-Tier Magic to summon seven or eight monsters at Levels 64–70.
And if Riezel used that ring capable of enhancing the effects of summoning magic, then the number of 10th-Tier monsters he could summon would conservatively reach around twenty.
Would that not be equivalent to dozens of Level 5 entities?
As for Yoriichi Type One, their strength was not quite at that level.
They could not use magic, nor did they possess special abilities or unique skills. Like ordinary swordsmen, they could only wield dual blades and engage in close combat, so their overall strength was limited.
Even so, they still possessed strength equivalent to Level 4.
In addition, since Riezel had used high-hardness metal to construct them, their END stat alone had absolutely reached Level 5. Although such combat mechanical dolls could not truly be used as Level 5 combatants, they at least possessed the capability to hold back a Level 5 First-Class Adventurer.
And that was why Riezel had said they could rival Level 5.
However, his claim was undoubtedly shocking to Finn and the others.
"Hundreds of entities comparable to Level 5?"
"Y-You're serious about that, Riezel?"
"..."
Finn and Riveria were completely stunned—even Ais stood frozen in place, staring blankly at Riezel for a long moment without reacting.
In response, Riezel merely shrugged.
"If you're skeptical, why not go outside and test it?"
Riezel made the suggestion, which immediately piqued everyone's interest.
"Mm, that would be best," Finn said without much hesitation. "This is a serious matter. We need to confirm just how strong the support you can summon with magic truly is."
"Then let's go to the courtyard."
Riezel spoke as he stood up decisively.
Everyone nodded and rose to their feet together before leaving the office and heading toward the courtyard.
===
Twilight Manor, Courtyard.
It was morning, but because most of the members of the familia had gone out on errands, the manor felt somewhat deserted, lacking any real sense of activity.
As a result, when Riezel and the others arrived at the courtyard, there was no audience around.
Finn and Riveria stood to the side, clearly intending to observe.
Ais, meanwhile, had brought along her beloved sword and stood opposite Riezel.
"Alright... Begin."
Finn spoke as he opened his wise-looking eyes.
At the side, Riveria also focused intently, not only because she was eager to confirm whether the creatures Riezel summoned had truly reached Level 5, but also because, as a mage, she felt anticipation and curiosity toward a type of magic she had never seen before.
Magic capable of summoning creatures to assist in battle—such a category of magic had never been witnessed before, even by her, one of the strongest mages in Orario.
Unfortunately, what was about to be summoned would not please Riveria.
'What should I summon?'
Riezel considered it seriously, glanced at Ais across from him, and quickly made a decision.
Buzz—
A magic circle unfolded before him.
"Summon Undead 10th."
Yes, Riezel chose to summon an undead creature.
At once, a chilling surge of magical energy poured out from the magic circle.
It was a negative energy equivalent to undead vitality.
A black, mist-like negative force harmful to life rose like smoke from the magic circle, and from within it, a terrifying monster emerged.
It was an undead standing over two meters tall, clad in full armor and wearing a helmet topped with a rusted crown, with a blood-stained cape draped over its shoulders. Beneath the helmet was a decayed human face, like that of a mummy revealed only after unwrapping it. Its armor bristled with sickle-like curved blades, and combined with the weapon in its hand and its crimson eyes, it was clearly a creature of extreme evil at a single glance.
"What?"
Riveria was shocked.
"!!!"
Ais's body tensed instantly.
"What kind of monster is that?"
Finn frowned, his hand instinctively reaching for his spear.
Clearly, the mere appearance of the grotesque undead caused all three executives of the Loki Familia to enter a state of hostility immediately.
Only Riezel remained calm, even explaining.
"It's called Doom Lord. Among the monsters I can summon, it's considered quite powerful."
Doom Lord was a high-tier undead that had reached Level 70, and in terms of the world of Danmachi, that corresponded to the peak of Level 5. With just one more level, it could step into the realm of Level 6.
In addition, it possessed special abilities, which was precisely why Riezel had chosen to summon this particularly formidable undead.
"Doom Lord..."
Ais and the others all frowned.
Clearly, its name, appearance, and the constant evil aura it emitted made them deeply uncomfortable.
Especially Ais and Riveria.
One possessed the bloodline of a spirit, while the other was of elven royalty—both, to some extent, felt an instinctive disgust and rejection toward beings filled with such negative energy.
In particular, ever since its appearance, the Doom Lord's crimson eyes had remained fixed upon Ais, Finn, and Riveria, filled with bloodthirsty violence, as though it wanted nothing more than to tear them apart on the spot, causing them to regard it as an extremely dangerous existence.
It could not be helped.
Doom Lord was undead, and undead, by nature, harbored hatred toward the living, envied and despised the living, and sought to trample and slaughter all life in the world.
For this reason, after transforming into the highest-tier undead Overlord, Ainz had become cold and emotionless, sometimes even exceptionally cruel.
Shalltear, as a vampire, could laugh while tearing apart human bodies, drinking their blood, and creating mountains of corpses without the slightest hesitation.
In any case, aside from vampires such as Evileye or Euryale, whom Riezel had personally created, there was not a single undead he had encountered that did not hate the living or that could peacefully coexist with them.
As a high-tier undead, Doom Lord was naturally no exception.
As such, its gaze toward the others was far from friendly. Combined with its terrifying appearance and malevolent aura, if it were to walk through the streets, it would undoubtedly be treated as a monster and swiftly hunted down by countless adventurers.
"…Ais."
Finn gave the Doom Lord a long look before turning toward Ais.
"Test its strength."
Hearing this, Ais frowned slightly, but she did not hesitate and immediately drew the sword at her waist.
"Come."
Seeing this, Riezel gave a faint smile and nodded at Ais.
Ais launched her attack without hesitation.
*Swish!*
With a sharp sound cutting through the air, the beautiful swordswoman, her long golden hair swaying behind her, dashed forward like a gale toward the Doom Lord.
*ROOOAAAAARRR—!!!*
Without any restraint from Riezel, the Doom Lord reacted instantly, letting out a terrifying roar as it raised its weapon—a black war scythe capable of being wielded with one hand—and slashed toward its enemy like a dark blade.
At that moment, it lifted the weapon high before swinging it down mercilessly toward Ais.
It was a strike meant to harvest life itself, existing solely for the sake of killing. Even though lacking refinement, the slash carried immense force, easily generating a sonic boom.
*Clang!*
Ais closed the distance in an instant, gripping her sword tightly with both hands as she struck with full force. Amid a metallic collision and a burst of sparks, she deflected the Doom Lord's slash.
*Swish!*
In the next instant, Ais executed a high-speed spinning strike, her blade cutting through a gap in the Doom Lord's armor and slicing into its body.
*ROOOAAAAARRR—!!!*
In an instant, the Doom Lord howled in apparent pain, yet the red light within its eyes intensified, while the black mist-like negative energy surrounding it suddenly grew even denser.
"!!!"
Ais sensed the change immediately, her eyes sharpening, yet she did not hesitate as she swung her sword toward the Doom Lord's neck.
*ROOOAAAAARRR—!!!*
In response, the Doom Lord let out a violent roar as it swung its war scythe in a heavy arc, striking directly against Ais's incoming silver blade.
*Clang!*
In the very next moment, the sharp metallic collision rang out once more, accompanied by a spray of sparks.
But this time, the Doom Lord's attack was not deflected and instead erupted with several times more force than before, instantly sending Ais flying backward.
"Ugh…"
Ais barely managed to steady herself, her expression filled with shock and surprise.
"…"
Finn and Riveria silently exchanged surprised glances.
