Chapter 882 - Chapter 882: Ultimate Weapon

"Ikaros," he pointed toward another mountainside, "the target is over there. Try a different method of attack."

"Understood, Master."

Ikaros waved her hand, and the Uranus System behind her immediately shifted from solid to illusory before disappearing entirely, returning to its original storage.

Her wings also reverted to their previous form.

Next, she assumed the posture of drawing a bow.

El noticed that the angel's pupils had already turned crimson, and the blue glow on her wings showed signs of erupting and spreading, clearly indicating that she was in a state of energy release.

Then, a black mechanical longbow appeared in Ikaros's hands, wrapped in purple light that contained immense power.

As she drew the bow, a violet-red arrow materialized on the string.

From that single arrow, even El felt a deadly threat, one that seemed capable of destroying him.

"Restrictions lifted. Final weapon, Artemis, ready," Ikaros's cold voice rang out. "Firing, "

The purple arrow shot forth almost instantly, striking its target like a beam of light.

Then, El saw a blinding white radiance flash across the heavens.

But in the next moment, all the white light vanished completely, leaving only darkness.

"What… is this?"

El looked ahead. All he could see was a pitch-black void.

It was as if all surrounding light had been completely absorbed into that hollow.

But it wasn't just light, fragments of rock, air, the mountain itself… all matter, even energy, was drawn toward the void.

The moment they entered, they were stretched infinitely, crushed, and ultimately vanished without a trace.

"What… is happening?" El had no idea what he was witnessing, because he could perceive nothing, as if even his divine senses were being drawn in.

Alaric merely smiled without answering.

In truth, that arrow had triggered a legendary-level spell: "Singularity Collapse."

Although its name resembled the famous legendary spell "Energy Drain Singularity," the two were entirely different.

"Energy Drain Singularity" was a necromancy spell, creating a temporary conduit linking the material plane, the magical network, and the negative energy plane, allowing pure negative energy to flood into the world.

But "Singularity Collapse" was a transmutation spell.

It did not connect to any plane. In essence, it was the ultimate spatial collapse, compressing all matter and space within a certain range into a single singularity.

The immense gravitational distortion created by this compression pulled in surrounding matter and space continuously.

Because everything was concentrated into a single point, the density far exceeded that of a black hole, making it essentially a super-enhanced version of one.

However, due to the limited total mass involved, its duration was short.

Once the magic ended, the singularity would collapse, and the extremely compressed matter would explode outward, causing secondary destruction.

According to Daedalus's original plan, the standard fusion weapons were named "Artemis," while the ultimate weapon, the black hole bomb (Singularity Collapse), was to be named "Apollo."

However, this proposal was unanimously rejected, after all, Artemis was their teacher's beloved favorite (for certain reasons), so what right did Apollo have?

Moreover, fusion bombs clearly represented the power of the sun, while black hole weapons were more associated with darkness.

And what shines in the night? The moon, of course.

Boom,

At last, the compressed matter and space within the void could no longer be sustained, and the final explosion erupted.

A flash of intense light passed, and what remained before the three of them was a massive spherical crater.

The material within had been blasted far into the distance, causing widespread destruction.

Looking at the result of this single strike, surpassing the effect of thousands of fusion bombs, El was completely stunned.

Even after returning to the palace, the god-king still seemed dazed.

"Well? What do you think of the angel I created?" Alaric asked with a hint of teasing.

"I… am convinced." El sighed. "Mr. Alaric, you are truly remarkable."

As he spoke, he accepted the golden cup filled with glowing white water, his heart brimming with anticipation.

If he could wield such power, and then deploy "Genesis · Eden," how could any other god possibly stand against him?

Seeing the god before him filled with expectation and satisfaction, a trace of mockery flashed through Alaric's eyes.

Next, he produced another divine artifact.

It was a set of rings.

There were ten in total, each gleaming with golden light. Though their engraved patterns differed, all were exquisitely ornate.

"The Sealing Rings," Alaric introduced. "They can seal the spiritual bodies of gods you defeat within them. These rings link the sealed entities' divine aspects to you. In other words, all the faith they have accumulated, both past and future, will belong to you… provided that you do not kill them."

"This artifact… thank you very much!" El accepted the rings excitedly.

Compared to the Reincarnation Pool, the usefulness of these rings was immediately apparent.

After all, since he had chosen the path of overwhelming his enemies through the power of faith, El now faced a serious problem: a lack of faith.

Unlike divine power, faith depended entirely on believers. Without followers, his reserves of faith would only diminish with use.

And in his current state, he had very few followers left.

Even if he relied on past accumulation to defeat his enemies within the Canaanite pantheon, rebuilding faith among the people of Canaan and gathering sufficient power again would take a long time.

Unlike great pantheons such as Olympus or Heliopolis, a system like the Canaanite pantheon constantly faced competition from others.

The Heliopolitan pantheon had always watched them with hostile intent, while the Zoroastrian pantheon on the other side was equally dangerous.

If he were to initiate a civil war within the Canaanite pantheon, even a victorious outcome would leave them too weakened to resist invasion from other pantheons.

The existence of these ten Sealing Rings would prevent exactly that.

"The gods sealed within will lose their former divine aspects," Alaric added.

"They will be degraded into 'demon gods,' stripped of true divinity, and will be bound to the rings' control. Perhaps they can even be used as your subordinates."

"Thank you, thank you, Mr. Alaric." Hearing this, El was clearly overjoyed, whether from the prospect of revenge or from imagining his enemies reduced to such a state.
