The city was in chaos. Buildings were being incinerated and crumbled to nothing due to the intense blows of powerfull energy between Kojin and the shadow puppet.
The monster soared through the air, spitting beams of energy at Kojin with intense speeds and power, these beams were causing huge explosions as they were tearing through the city. Kojin immediately saw the incoming beams, flew into the air and started to dart around them, flying fast enough to blur. He wasn't just flying and dodging, he was also blasting through the beams with all the skills he had with the help of his destructive energy that was searring around his body and all over the air.
He clenched his fist, destructive energy coiling at his palm.
"Destroyer's Core: Chaotic Destroyer's Blade!"
His destructuve energy took the shape of a titanic blade, then fired like a cannon of pure destruction. It struck the puppet dead-on.
BOOOOM!
A huge explosion of destructive energy was all over the sky, the impact of the explosion scattered the ground with chaotic amounts of energy.
Kojin landed, dust swirling around him. He narrowed his eyes. The smoke parted—revealing the puppet still standing, unharmed.
"What…?" His jaw tightened. "That strike should've incinerated."
For the first time in a long time, Kojin became tensed and unsure of himself.
"I don't want to go all out. Not here. There'd be too many casualties. But this thing… this thing isn't going to go out unless I take it out with all the power I have.".
Then, slowly, his lips curved into a beast like grin.
"Heh… you're a lively one.", his destructive energy grew with an insane and unhinged level of power, "You know what—fuck casualties! When did I ever care for that in the first place?!"
The puppet's body rattled with excitement, sensing Kojin's shift. It roared back, the sound ripping through the air like thunder, and charged down towards him. Kojin jumped towards it at tramendous speeds as well.
Their fists collided midair, shockwaves tearing through skyscrapers, ripping the city apart in bursts of violent wind. Both the shadow puppet and Kojin were exchanging powerful blows in air, they started to fly around at unbelievable speeds while blasting beams at each other, at the same time dodging and cutting through their attacks. They were also banging each other accross the ground and buildings with intense force.
As the battle raged, Kojin thought to himself. "I trust Alex and the rest of the soliders. They've evacuated the people. Diablo's not here to whisk them to safety, but they'll be fine. Which means…", a terrifying grin appeared on his face "I can finally fight like the mad beast I've always been.", he growled.
He slammed his fist into the monsterous shadow puppet's gut, sending it through three towers in a line. It tried to fire another beam from its hands—but its arm was sliced clean off in a flash.
The puppet looked up just in time to see Kojin flying towards it. They started to blitz each other again all over the air until Kojin grabbed it by the face and threw it out of the city and into the wastelands. As the shadow puppet crashed into a few mountains, Kojin came flying down with an insane level of destructive energy and blasted the monster accross mountains with powerful amounts destructive energy. Kojin's punch of destructive energy was enough to wipe out a large number of mountains. The shadow puppet and Kojin continued to clash with intense amounts of power, Kojin was blasting waves of destructive energy at it, but the puppet was fast enough to run, dodge and even punch through a number of Kojin's attacks. Kojin's waves of destructive energy was laying waste to mountains and burning the wastelands around them. They started to have a devastating hand to hand combat battle at high speeds, in the process, the shadow puppet gathered a huge amount of dark energy into its arms and went for a punch against Kojin. Kojin was stunned as he blocked the blow "Huh? This monster can use destructive energy too?".
BOOOOM!
From afar, Sorata watched, his spikey purple hair swaying in the storm Kojin's power created. A twisted grin spread across his face.
"Yes… that's it. Don't hold back, old man. Show me. Show me what the Beast of Destruction is capable of!"
Meanwhile, Alex, Sōn, and Kazuki stood at the city, Kazuki had created a massive forcefield to shield the civilians. Despite the fact that Kojin and his opponent weren't fighting in the city anymore, the huge waves and impact of their fight was causing violent storms and debries to fly all over the city. Even buildings and pieces of mountains were flying all over the city.
Alex's jaw dropped as he watched explosions dance across the sky. "I knew Kojin was strong, but… goddamn!"
Kazuki smirked faintly, though his eyes stayed sharp. "Look closer you idiot! He's grinning. He's practically enjoying this. Kojin really is a Beast."
Sōn stayed silent as he watched "Dad, you're stronger than I thought. But please. Please don't die."
In the sky, Kojin's aura swelled wildly, black flames whipping around him. The energy went berserk, roaring, twisting, until it took the form of a giant tiger of black destructive energy
The city trembled. Even the shadow puppet froze, its crimson eyes widening in shock.
Kojin spread his arms, laughing manically. "FINNALLY! HAHAA! DO YOU SEE IT?! THIS IS WHAT I TRULLY AM! THIS WAS WHY I WAS CALLED THE BEAST OF DESTRUCTION! I AM HIM!"
The tiger of destructive energy let out a powerful roar, its sheer power was one that would obliterate a county.
The monsterous shadow puppet charged up a huge amount of energy, it gathered all that power in its mouth and fired it at Kojin. But unfortunately, Kojin was able to intercept this beam of tramendous power, he immediately blasted the attack away from him with a simple blast. The shadow puppet grew shocked. Kojin's grin of insanity grew even wider. He called out
"Ultimate TECHNIQUE —Beast of Destruction!"
His tiger of destructive energy immediately launched at the shadow puppet with an explosion of dark flames and black lightning. The sky erupted in black fire as the colossal form swallowed the puppet whole.
BOOOOOOM!!!
The blast annihilated everything. The city outskirts were obliterated. The wasteland between the city of Kagahara and the country of Raijin was reduced to ash.
Far away, Shouya, Lord of the city of Raijin, felt the quake ripple as she took a walk. The impact of the explosion flew all the way to her country with huge debries, dust and a small flicker of destructive energy. She turned sharply, eyes wide. "What in the world… was that?"
When the dust finally settled, Kojin knelt in the smoking grounds, chest heaving. His grin lingered despite the exhaustion.
" Huh! Looks to me that I still got it."
A slow clap echoed from the shadows. Kojin was a bit stunned and got on his two feet.
"Well, well. You really outdid yourself, old man."
Kojin's head snapped up. Out of the smoke emerged Sorata—his eldest son—his purple eyes gleaming with cruel satisfaction.
Kojin's face fell. "Saito?! Is that you? Wait, Did you bring that monster here? Were you the one responsible for that?!Do you realize how many people would have died? Please… stop this. I don't want to fight you."
Sorata's grin split wider, his laugh sharp and mocking. "Awn, are you showing compassion? From you of all people? Don't make me laugh. The Kojin I knew was the guy who hated weakness! The Kojin I knew was the kind of man who'd burn everything in his path just for power! You really have become pathetic dear old dad!".
Kojin flinched, his heart twisting.
Sorata continued his taunting "I spent my whole life trying to make you proud as your son", Sorata's face twisted with a psychotic smile, eyes blazing. "But all you did was just too break me down and yell at me for how weak i was! Your lust for power poisoned everything! My hatred! My suffering, made me want to become stronger so that i can one day make you proud. I DID ALL THAT JUST TO MAKE YOU PROUD DAD....!". Sorata's grin became more unhinged and unstable, exclaimed with excitement "So Kojin! Why don't we destroy each other here and now to our hearts content?! WELL? SPEAK UP DAD!!", Kojin was immediately out of words due to shock.
Suddenly, Levi and Tomoa dropped in from the sky and crashed into the ground, they both stood on their two feet and were ready to confront Sorata, although they were far infront of Kojin by a couple of yards. Levi's arms were turned into blasters while Tomoa had activated his magic circles of black destructive energy. Levi exclaimed with a serious look on his face "Sorry you scatterbrained bastard, we can't allow that!".
Sorata in this deranged manner started to charge up an insane amount of purple destructive energy all over his body, he couldn't care less about Levi and Tomoa's enterance. He dashed off at a speed faster than he had ever moved before, he was able to blitz past Levi and Tomoa, this left them shocked "What the....?", Tomoa exclaimed. Sorata yelled out as he charged towards Kojin with an insane amount destructive energy "SPECIAL TECHNIQUE: BEAST OF DESTRUCTION!".
