The battlefield was covered in destruction, Kazuki was firing massive purple lightning bolts at Zodia, each one striking with devastating force and explosions of purple lightning. The lightning tore through the land, obliterating huge portions of the war zone and triggering violent explosions that echoed across the continent. Alongside the bolts, Kazuki formed enormous lightning arrows and launched them relentlessly toward Zodia. Zodia, meanwhile, was sprinting across the battlefield at top speed, narrowly avoiding each attack "As I am right now, I don't really have the energy to fly," Zodia muttered to himself while running. "I had too much fun with that demon boy… and now that I think about it, I actually drained myself. The best I can do is just run."
He continued dashing across the ruined terrain, dodging the incoming lightning with precise movements. Every missed strike carved massive scars into the ground.
Kazuki clicked his tongue in frustration.
"Damn… this guy's fast," he said. "He's dodging all my lightning without taking a single hit. Who is this guy?"
Purple lightning erupted violently around Kazuki as he began charging power. In an instant, his body transformed into a bolt of lightning and shot straight toward Zodia.
Zodia noticed the incoming streak of purple light and stretched out his hand to block it—only to realize too late what it was.
Kazuki smirked.
He slammed a powerful kick into Zodia, sending him crashing across a mountain. Two enormous lightning bolts followed immediately after, racing toward him.
Zodia twisted mid-air, smirking.
"You're a lively one, Kazuki," he said calmly. "But that won't work on me."
He stretched out his hand.
"Reflect."
The lightning bolts instantly reversed direction, tearing back toward Kazuki and detonating in a massive explosion.
Zodia chuckled "Hahakaha!".
"Now now… is that all you have for me?"
He suddenly noticed Kazuki hovering in the air above him, countless giant purple fireballs raining down from the sky. An evil grin was plastered across Kazuki's face.
Zodia's eyes narrowed with interest.
"Hm? Purple flames?" he said. "Not bad."
He extended both hands.
"Since you're giving it your all, I too shall respond with full power. I'll show you how insignificant you are to me."
"God Technique: Beam of Death."
Magic circles materialized around Zodia, spinning violently as countless beams of destructive energy fired outward, colliding with the descending fireballs. The clash triggered a massive explosion that sent shockwaves across the continent, lightning ripping through the sky in every direction.
Amid the chaos, Kazuki and Zodia clashed.
Kazuki wielded his lightning sword, while Zodia used nothing more than a regular blade. Sparks and lightning exploded with every strike as the two exchanged blows and blade clashes at blinding speed. Thunder crashed endlessly as they fought, their swordsmanship equally refined and relentless.
Kazuki's eyes widened.
"He's using a normal sword…?"
Zodia smirked.
"I'm honestly impressed," he said. "You are far and away one of the most skilled and powerful swordsmen I've ever faced. Purple lightning, purple flames… you truly make me glad, Kazuki Takanoguro."
Kazuki roared and attempted a decisive slash.
Zodia casually slapped the lightning sword aside and followed up with a brutal punch, sending Kazuki flying across the battlefield.
As Kazuki soared through the air, he saw Zodia descending toward him—eyes glowing red, an insane smile etched across his face.
Kazuki unleashed a massive surge of lightning that engulfed the sky.
Zodia burst through it laughing maniacally and smashed Kazuki into the ground.
"FUCKING BE A GOOD BOY..." Zodia shouted, "AND STAY DOWN!".
He raised his fist again, but Kazuki barely managed to block it.
Zodia laughed, clearly enjoying himself.
"I might have to break every bone in your body to keep you down," he said. "But don't worry—I won't kill you. Not yet."
The two began exchanging blow after blow in air. Each collision sent violent gusts of wind ripping across the planet. Cities crumbled. Buildings collapsed. Panic spread everywhere as the earth itself trembled.
Kazuki struggled.
"I can't keep up…I can't compete with him in straight combat."
As Kazuki prepared his purple flame technique, Zodia slapped it away effortlessly and unleashed a barrage of devastating strikes.
Kazuki tried to fight back—but it was hopeless.
Zodia landed the final blow, smashing him into the ground with an explosion.
Kazuki lay there, his lightning armor beginning to fade.
Zodia stepped on his chest.
"This was fun while it lasted," he said. "But I got bored and decided to knock you out."
Kazuki smirked weakly.
"Sorry," he replied. "But you're forgetting one major factor."
Zodia paused, confused "Hm? And what's that?", he asked
He turned around.
Alex was standing there—his demon arm ready.
Alex slammed a clean punch into Zodia's face, sending him flying across the battlefield. Zodia skidded across the ground before landing firmly on his feet.
Blood trickled from his nose.
Zodia smiled.
Kazuki looked up at Alex.
"You back to full strength?"
Alex's body erupted with red energy as he entered Demonic Form: Stage Two. A red energy cloak enveloped him, while white light shaped itself into flowing clothing. At the same time, Kazuki's spirit mark—a star surrounded by circles—glowed intensely, releasing a surge of purple lightning that reformed his armor.
"You gave me enough time to regenerate and charge up," Alex said. "Thanks."
Kazuki grinned.
"Quit thanking me. If i hadn't done that, you'd be dead by now, remember? Lets just focus on beating this guy."
Zodia floated into the air.
"You boys are really impressive. You're coordinated, you're strong, and you can adapt really well and quickly." he admitted. "But I'm tired of you. I'll show you what chaos truly is."
He raised his hand toward the sky.
"Come forth… Sword of Calamity."
A massive surge of energy erupted from the sky, condensing into the shape of a colossal sword that descended into Zodia's grasp.
He pointed the blade at them.
"Come."
Alex and Kazuki grinned as they charged forward together.
"We're the hell's duo!" they shouted.
"And we'll end your sorry ass! Get ready to die, motherfucker!"
