[3rd POV]
Walking along with Caroline, Lucifer glanced at the man that this entire meeting was about to be about. She could tell that he was terrified at the moment, the way sweat trickled down his brow in nervousness. The way he was hesitantly following them towards the meeting place, which was simply the principals office.
His old office that would soon return back to Caroline.
She could tell that he had never told Caroline about...well, anything that he had been doing. And she had a feeling that Caroline would be hurting Alaric a lot more than anyone else in the group would be. Cause if there was one thing that Caroline was serious about, it was teaching these kids properly.
And he was not teaching them properly at all.
Stepping into the Principals office, the door shut behind them a few moments after they stepped inside. Lucifer didn't wait and snapped her finger, a barrier forming over the room that would stop anyone from entering, and would also make it sound proof so that nobody could hear what was going on inside of the room.
"What did you just do?" Caroline asked, noticing the woman snapping her finger. She could also see the see through barrier that flickered into form around the room. She had seem something somewhat similar from her friend Bonnie, but not with such incredible ease.
"Just a simple barrier. It'll keep anyone from interfering and keep the sound from leaking out. That way we won't have to deal with anyone getting involved with this" Lucifer responded with a simple smile on her face, not caring much for the worry that was creeping into Caroline's tone.
Caroline barely knew Lucifer, and from what she did know from Alaric, Lucifer was not someone she could ever afford to piss off. With her being the literal devil, not the nobody copy like Cade, but the true devil that ruled over the actual hell.
A being that could atomize her with a literal thought.
"...Alright that's fine I guess. So, what exactly has Alaric done that managed to piss all of you off?" Caroline asked, as she sat down in the chair behind the desk. Glancing at Alaric, she saw him still at her words, all but confirming that he had done something stupid.
"Well...it's quite a lot that he has done, really" Hope was the first person to speak, as Caroline's frown only deepened when she saw the nod that Rose had made as well.
"Yeah it's a long list. From not allowing the vampire students to drink blood, to not having vampire or werewolf teachers, only witches. And then there's the-" "WHAT?!" Caroline cut Rose off with a loud yell, her hand slamming against the table in front of her in anger.
"What do you mean we don't have any vampire or werewolf teachers!?" Caroline yelled, her eyes snapping to Alaric who flinched back and looked anywhere but towards Caroline.
"The only teachers that Alaric has hired are witches. He has not once hired a werewolf or vampire as a teacher. And thanks to this, the vampires and werewolves in this school are not even remotely prepared for the real world. For they are getting taught from book knowledge, not from real world knowledge. As the witches can't get more than that, not like a true werewolf or vampire can" Lucifer explained, as Caroline scowled deeply.
"Alaric! Explain, now!" Caroline yelled at him, as the man flinched back before looking down awkwardly and beginning.
"W-Well...I thought it would be too dangerous to hire a vampire or werewolf. As who knew if they would go off the deep end and start killing people. Or if they taught the kids the wrong things and turned them into a bunch of lunatics who kill humans for sport, or-" "Alaric, I literally gave you a list of people you could hire! People that were proven to be fit for the job! I personally interviewed them and everything!" Caroline cut the man off, her rage making her face red in anger.
The others could only silently listen, realizing that they might not even have to explain anything more with how pissed Caroline has become thanks to this new piece of information she has been given.
"What the hell do you expect a bunch of witches to teach the kids, Ric? They don't have even the slightest idea what it is like to be a vampire or werewolf! They have never dealt with the hunger for blood like a vampire has! They have never dealt with the fear and anger and pain that a werewolf has! They are literally some of the worst choices for teaching them! They are historically terribly biased against anyone not a witch, and you want them to teach the same species that they despise?" Caroline grilled the man, fury in her eyes as she yelled at him.
The others in the room silently listened, awkwardly glancing at one another. With even Lucifer looking a bit uncomfortable sitting here, realizing that they really weren't needed.
The woman was doing all the yelling she needed to do.
"And you wanted me to trust a bunch of vampires or werewolves? How could I possibly trust them?" Alaric asked, as Caroline stared at him like he was stupid.
"Are you seriously saying that? Alaric, I am running a school that is for teaching the supernatural, regardless of if they are vampires, werewolves, or witches! What the hell do you think this is? You think I am just going to let witches run the place? Are you stupid?" Caroline asked, genuinely wondering if the man in front of her was an idiot.
She was seriously beginning to think he was.
"Bu-" "But nothing Alaric. I am taking control now, because obviously you don't know what the fuck you are doing. From now on I'll be firing the useless witch teachers that are no needed. The vampires will be given human blood so they don't become a bunch of rippers. Vampire and werewolf teachers will be hired to properly teach them" Caroline informed the man, who could only silently listen, not able to say anything back.
"Don't forget that he locks up the werewolf students in the basement during the full moon" Hayley added, as Caroline looked like she could kill the man in front of her, before breathing out deeply.
"That will be changed too. Oh, and Alaric? You are now demoted. I think you'll be perfect as the new school janitor" Caroline said, giving the man a wide fake smile, her eyes gleaming with malice as the man could only grumble silently and nod, before getting up and marching out of the room.
Turning to Lucifer, Alice, Klaus and Hayley, Caroline sighed.
"I apologize for all of this. Had I known he has been doing something so stupid, I would have stopped him sooner. But seriously, thank you for bringing this to my attention now. Had I not noticed it sooner, this could have become a serious problem" Caroline said gratefully, already imagining what could have happened if it continued like this.
And it wasn't a pretty picture. With tons of rippers, angry and confused werewolves, and witches that were arrogant and didn't know proper spells. All combining to look really really really bad for the Salvatore boarding school.
And would likely have led to a lot of innocents dying.
"Anyways, now that that is over and done with, why don't we get some lunch? I'm starving" Caroline asked, as the group all looked at one another before agreeing, as she began to lead them towards somewhere that they could eat.
And as Lucifer followed along, she had only one thought on her mind.
'...That went remarkably well'
