[3rd POV]
While Lucifer was out in the city, exploring parts that she couldn't really bring the kids due to the establishments and their inappropriate nature, or due to safety concerns, Alice was having the time of her life, sitting with her family around a large tv.
They were playing some sort of fighting game that Beatrix had bought, and from the looks of it, it was based around demons in hell, fighting in a Smash Bros format. With there being fighters like Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, the other Sins, Vox, Alastor, and quite a few more.
There was even Charlie, who had been added in a DLC, and had her own unique voice lines.
Currently it was Alice, Charlie, Vaggie, Beatrix, and Powder playing. All of them battling it out to find the winner. Each person having three "lives" which would be lost in similar ways to smash bros.
"How are you so good at this!?" Vaggie yelled, a frustrated growl leaving her as she was knocked off the edge once more, by the only person in the group that had not lost a life yet.
Beatrix.
She was insanely good at all things gaming. To an insane degree.
From what Luci had told her, Beatrix was almost guaranteed to have a divinity in gaming, which would be insanely strong thanks to what gaming is, and the main power that it would give.
According to Lucifer, the domain of gaming would allow Beatrix to literally call upon the powers of game characters. Like Steve from Minecraft, Link, Doom Guy, and any and all others. With only certain higher entities being locked due to her being weaker than them, or them having a very very special nature.
That was only for really high entities, like primordials and crap like that.
"A lot of practice" Beatrix replied simply, a small twitch of her lip showing how much she was enjoying this. Alice knew her daughters' tells, and that was one of them. It usually meant she was amused. She never really smiled in front of those she didn't know.
She was good at hiding it like that.
Alice knew it was partially due to her past, and thanks to her inherent mistrust of others. She was similar to Violet in that regard. Both of them around the same level in terms of how much they trust others.
"Practice lets you beat four people at the same time casually?" Charlie asked as she smashed at her buttons, button mashing as she tried to not get knocked off the edge.
"Yep. I have thousands of hours on games like this one. It's one of my favorite genres. Although I don't really play online, I like single player more for games like this one" Beatrix replied with a nod, finding this to be easy.
"Have you ever lost to someone before? Because damn you're kicking their asses!" Angel Dust asked, genuinely interested as he watched them. He usually didn't give a shit about gaming and that stuff, more interested in getting...well, having fun, but he had to admit it was fun to watch.
"Yeah my mom has beat me tons of times. She's the only one who can crush me on games" Beatrix said, remembering the time that she walked Lucifer to go all out in a game.
"She once beat me in a game like this one without me being able to attack her once" Beatrix added.
"Isn't that like...really hard? Cause you can just button mash and boom you've attacked ten times" Charlie asked, looking over as she got knocked out and killed permanently.
"I can do it with someone who isn't good. But my mom is the best at...well, everything. I haven't seen her lose a single...anything before" Beatrix replied with a meh motion.
"Your mother sounds quite interesting dear!" Alastor said as he looked at Beatrix with a widening grin. Alice glanced at the man and shook her head.
'He'll get turned inside out if he tries anything' Alice thought, knowing what her wife would do if Alastor dared to lay a single finger on any of her children.
That was if Alice didn't do it first.
"That's an understatement of the century" Vi said from the side with a snort.
"Hmm? What's that mean?"
"It just means that our mom is like...the most ridiculous person you will ever meet, by a long shot" Vi replied to to Charlie who asked.
"...Go on"
"My daughter means that my wife is capable of doing a lot of things that would blow your mind, and that most of it is ridiculous by your standards. Things like warping this hotel into its current state? That is absolutely nothing to her. Trust me, you have seen nothing of what my wifey can do~" Alice said with a grin, knowing that it will be fun to see their faces when Lucifer truly starts to show off.
That's not even counting their reactions to finding out just who Lucifer is. That would be the truly hilarious moment.
Alice hoped it would be funny. She brought a camera for it and everything. She wanted to keep it in her scrapbook.
"...I can't be the only one who is concerned by that" Husk said blandly, as Powder grumbled as she was knocked out of the game, giving Beatrix a cute glare as the older sister just smirked teasingly down at her.
Now it was Alice versus Beatrix, and Alice was...well, pretty doomed. She had one life left, Beatrix had 3. But Beatrix was at around 115% and all it took was one strong hit to knock her out.
The game really was basically a copy of Smash Bros. Down to some of the exact same special moves, and even some of the same zones and maps.
Whoever made the game was lucky Nintendo did not exist down there, or else they would probably have gotten sued to oblivion. And in Hell it would have likely been closer to Nintendo carpet bombing them or some shit.
Nintendo was rather notorious for being ruthless when it comes to copyright. And in general just sued everything that looked even remotely like it broke rules or conditions in their contracts, or looks like something made by Nintendo.
"It's fine...probably" Charlie replied, waving off the man's concern. He just looked at her with a deadpan on his face, knowing that this was absolutely going to come back to bite them in the ass. Cause she sounded way to confident about her words to be lying. Otherwise he would have just written it off as her spouting bullshit.
He wondered just how strong the lady was if her wife was able to brag about shit like that. And being able to rewrite reality on an entire hotel casually being the equivalent of nothing, made it pretty obvious that the true limits of her power were far higher.
He mentally put her up on the totem pole of power in Hell. In the same tier as Charlie's father and mother. Hell, she could be stronger for all he knew.
"So, when's she supposed to get back anyways? She's been out for a while now" Charlie asked, as Alice just shrugged in response.
"I'm back and I brought treats!" Lucifer's voice echoed, as the entire family jumped up immediately, their faces brightening further as Daenerys in particular perked up at the mention of treats.
She looked over to find her mam-Lucifer holding a bunch of bags, and small ice cream cones floating around her, with what looked to be a bubble around them, stopping them from melting.
Looking at the group, Lucifer smiled and spoke.
"So...did I miss anything?"
