William's explanation made everyone think. Even Cedric,
who was one of the oldest there just had his thirteen birthday, hadn't thought about it that way before.
It's like William gave them a new idea they hadn't considered before,
and it made them all realize they didn't know as much as they thought.
William's way of explaining things was clear.
In his past life, he spent a lot of time reading and studying preparing for the civil services for over ten years,
He might not have qualified but he learned how to think and talk about things from different prospectives.
The books had stories that are known but still have unsolved mysteries in it.
Some old books, like ones about currency wars, are particularly rare and are there for many years, but they still hold valuable information.
"But the Ministry won't treat Lucius Malfoy as a real criminal. His family holds a lot of power," Cedric mentioned.
"During that time, he managed to clear his name using Galleons, saying he was being controlled by the Dark lord."
"Yeah, their family's wealth gives them leverage with the Ministry," William noted.
"They are relying on manipulating public opinion and making it against the Malfoy's,
So he has to pay a hefty sum in Galleons, bribing higher-ups, and basically buying himself out of this problem."
William recalled seeing a book on Fudge, the new Minister of Magic, the book was about his success, it was an autobiography.
Fudge just took office and he had already started recovering his money from the propoganda.
Then how would he be willing to let go of the Malfoy's so easily, After all he was there Golden goose.
Lucious maybe innocent this time, but he will still be getting ripped off by them.
"What about the real intruder?" Cedric asked. "They have to let Malfoy go. Then how will they explain it later?"
"This shows that" William spoke slowly: "Perhaps, the Ministry of Magic already knows the real culprit.
Malfoy might just be a distraction, allowing the Ministry to deceive the real culprit while extorting money from Malfoy," William proposed.
Politicians might seem weak or lacking insight,
but they're great at both making money and manipulating public opinion.
Without these skills, they wouldn't hold their positions for long!
Lucious might be innocent, but that wand found at the scene, whether by chance or planted, has planted him as a suspect.
Fudge, just became the minister, So he
isn't really aiming to lock Malfoy up.

At this moment, the Quidditch selection of the Hufflepuff house began.
William watched the Quidditch selection again, the children who wanted to be selected have just practiced sometimes at home for fun at best. Hence immediately it became boring for him.
But the Weasleys and Cho were very excited.
Cho simply loved Quidditch. Before entering Hogwarts, she was into sports and all.
Cedric finally found something common with her was happy, atleast he has someway he can bond more with her now.
William suddenly thought about a possibility.
When Cho will enter the Ravenclaw team, wouldn't Hufflepuff directly lost one of its player.?
What? You are going to play against Ravenclaw and stop them from winning the championship,
You don't love me anymore Cedric, let's break up.
William could already think about Cho's hands on her hips while angrily scolding Cedric.
George and Fred were even more concentrated on watching the selection, as they were watching and comparing their strength against them .
Although Charlie will be quickly healed from his injury,
But we don't know if there will be some side effects or any follow up problems as the brain is a delicate thing even with magic you just can't guarantee about it.
Cedric was right in his analysis, Hufflepuff is indeed a strong competitor for the Quidditch cup.
As for the Gryffindor's they haven't won the Quidditch Cup in four years, and Hufflepuff has won it a year before.
George and Fred really wanted to win the Quidditch cup.
As they were with Filch's, spending a week long of punishment cleaning and polishing the silverware in the trophy room.
They couldn't resist wanting to hold the medals they laid eyes on , that included the Quidditch trophy.
But it was percy who had it worse as the side effects from his punishment is worse then theirs.
He has this urge now to go inside a toilet whenever he sees one, no matter if it's boys or girls.
The reason was very simple, As Percy's punishment contained him cleaning the toilets for a week.
George and Fred were the main troublemakers.
So logically, Filch should have put them for that punishment.
But he gave Percy the dirty work of cleaning the toilet.
Poor Percy, as the model student, was the favourite of his parents at home.
He was often praised by the professors at school, and he was hardly ever scolded, let alone being punished.
William had heard from George that Percy often showed off infront of everyone even Flich,
And one time he told him how Flich would never have been a model student in his time.
And the problem was Filch wasn't even a student.
He was a squib hence he never went to Hogwarts. Probably because of this reason, he hated Percy.
Peeves is still telling about him being a squib to everyone,
Now, Percy peeking at moaning Myrtle going in the toilet doesn't seem like a groundless rumour.
So, the selection was underway at the training ground. The Hufflepuff students were together, watching the process with a lot of organization to avoid any accidents.
Cedric, however, was kind of lost into the background among the crowd.
The applicants were divided into groups of ten, taking to the field for their tryouts.
Some seemed to be there just to fill the slots, flying erratically like they'd had a few too many butter beer, and crashing into the equipment.
On the field, Mrs. Hodge showed up, clearly worried about the stadium's infrastructure being damaged during the tryouts.
The second group, comprised of ten beautiful girls with weapons of mass destruction, as soon as Captain Gabriel Truman blew his whistle, everyone was fascinated by this team.
They were flying really close to each other, forming a jiggling and beautiful sight, for the young and old both to enjoy.
The Weasley twins whistled, signaling for an encore of the performance,
while William,who was not a fan of the sports really paid an unusual amount of interest, in watching the group with his whole attention.
The three of them stood on their seats , leaning against the railings, blowing whistles, enjoying the show of their lives.
They were a sight for the sore eyes, nothing about them was inexperienced.
Cho snorted angrily, folding her arms around her non existent chest, became upset, by unknowingly comparing herself with them.
"Hmm Boys..."
It's fortunate that Cedric isn't here; otherwise, he might have joined the beauty pageant and ended up getting kicked from the training ground by Cho Chang.
But then again he'd probably sit smugly by Cho's side, pretending to be innocent while pointing fingers at William and the rest.
The third group fell in a heap midway through their round. Most of the fourth group showed up without brooms,
And the fifth group turned out to be first year Gryffindor students.
Lee Jordan, was not selected for the Gryffindor's quidditch team,
So he brought a group of first-year wizards in the afternoon to stir things up among the Hufflepuff team.
Unfortunately for him, Mrs. Hodge was present there.
The strict woman handed him by his ear and kicked him out as well taking points from the Gryffindor's.
Fred informed William that Lee was planning to apply for a Quidditch commentator position to showcase his talent of Quidditch.
Lee also said that Charlie would regret not selecting him,
Claiming he was the Messiah who can even revive the England's national quidditch team.
