One afternoon, Ahmed approached her.
"Congratulations."
"For what?"
"You got the highest marks in the class."
Aleezeh smiled.
"Thank you."
"No attitude today?"
She laughed.
"Don't push your luck."
Noor joined them.
"You two are finally getting along."
"Don't make it weird," Aleezeh said.
They laughed.
For the first time in a long time, Aleezeh felt happy.
