The vampire pirates sent people in by small boats and, under Deputy Claire's arrangement, obtained protective gear and weapons, while also delivering medicine and ammunition to the ships.
Given the fleet's transport capacity, they couldn't move everything out of the cave at once, so it's merely part of the armament phase before entering Charldo Harbor for combat.
This batch of supplies intercepted by Murphy and Babro together was generally mediocre in quality, but abundant in quantity.
Weapons and armor enough to arm over thirty thousand people is considered a real treasure anywhere on the continent. If Babro can find a generous buyer, this single transaction could earn the Blood Fear Clan their first bucket of gold to weather through the crisis.
But as Babro said, the "treasure" Murphy gave is so hot that even a seasoned pirate has to treat it seriously.
