As the carriage started, Count Leon leaned back on the sofa and reached to hold the wrist of his lover, he said softly:
"But I also know, that the reason you refuse to accept the title of Lady Cape is not because you don't like it, but because you, this vixen, want more, like... Duchess?"
The Psychic did not answer, but her silence was itself an answer.
Back then, choosing to sell the rest of her life for a generous sum of gold wasn't merely out of greed for wealth. As one of the top graduates of Circle Tower, she had a clear life plan and knew how to seize every fleeting opportunity.
"It's not the time yet."
Bouncing along with the carriage, Count Leon looked out into the restless night, and said warmly:
"The Cape Family will always be His Majesty's most loyal subjects. I once vowed to my King to devote everything to him; we cannot foolishly oppose the Sun King at the height of his power. Under such sunlight, we must be loyal and docile."
