The streets of Amberfall were full of activity.
Despite the war on the horizon, the people went about their days in the usual manner. Although underneath the calm facade, there was a faint sense of restlessness.
However, that did not matter. Because they knew they would be protected by their wise king. They had placed great faith in him.
For generations, the Fireborne family had continued to rule over them and protect them from all danger. So why would any of that change now?
So despite the uneasy turbulence beneath the surface, life in Amberfall continued nevertheless. Because of its status as a great trading nation, the shortage of food and other supplies barely lasted a day or two before they were replenished.
The influx of Magi from the Union in the streets of Amberfall gave the locals a great sense of safety as well. As a result, in the past few years, theft and other crimes had diminished greatly.
