In a dimly lit chamber, several powerful figures had gathered. They sat at a stone round table, their gaze locked onto the figure who had just spoken.
He wore tattered robes, his face concealed beneath the cowl. A wooden staff leaned beside him on the edge of the seat. And a lantern was kept in front of him, radiating a dim ghostly light.
Though he appeared to be a poor vagabond, none at the table looked down upon him. He was a powerful Magus, a mysterious figure who had only just recently made his presence known to them.
He was the leader of the Shadow Sect.
And at the table sat the heads of the Nine Great Sects and Clans.
"A great war is on the horizon. Unlike anything we have ever seen," said the Shadow Sect's leader. "We must unite!"
He had tried to get the Unorthodox Faction on board, but he found out the hard way that the organizations in that faction were under the firm control of the Hidden Ruler.
