Before the fireballs completely drowned him, the lich's eyes turned cold and furious.
One explosion followed another in rapid succession, engulfing the battlefield in blazing fire and violent shockwaves. The dense fog in the vicinity was instantly torn apart as scorching heat swept across the ruined land.
And then…
Boom!
A giant explosion erupted at the center of the battlefield, its deafening roar echoing across the entire region. Flames surged high into the air while shattered earth and burning debris blasted outward in every direction.
In the distance, the Heavenly Demon stood atop a thick vine. His grip around the Blades of Fulgrim tightened as he stared at the center of the explosion with a grim look on his face.
Not for a moment did he think that the lich was defeated. If it had been so easy, he would have already dealt with him. Instead, he prepared for the following battle sequence. His combat methods would depend on the spells that Adam cast.
