The sky was a dull gray.
Near the horizon, a wave of crimson slowly started to spill across the canvas above.
The ground was barren.
It seemed to stretch endlessly. The entire land bore deep wounds and scars.
Traces of battle, those were. And from the look of things, the battle seemed intense.
And recent…
Here and there, odd structures rose from the ground. It was unknown as to what they were.
A solitary figure in leather armor sprawled on this war-torn land, unmoving. The mist still clung to him, as it did to the land and everything on it.
Slowly, painfully, horrifyingly, the mist started to recede as the muted sky turned crimson.
A flash of gray light and a tiny figure appeared beside the larger one.
"Brother! Brother!"
Valerian called out in alarm as he pushed his paws against Adam's head.
He looked around in trepidation. Then he looked at the sky that was turning red, the fear in his eyes growing even more intense.
"Brother, wake up! Brother, please!"
