The female trainees' hearts pounded with excitement, but it wasn't because of their bosses, Hyun-suk and Min-suk—it was because of the Hollywood superstars standing beside them.
Seeing Lucas Knight and Jennifer Lawrence in person, right in their studio, was something they never expected.
"How is everyone?" Hyun-suk addressed the room, his gaze sweeping over the trainees. "I hope we're not interrupting your practice."
The trainees fidgeted, clearly flustered. Their coach, Eun-ae, a poised and striking woman, waved a hand lightly.
"Not at all, chief."
Then, her eyes landed on Lucas and Jennifer. She, along with the trainees, had known about their visit to the company, but no one expected them to show up in the practice studio without prior notice.
"We're giving Mr. Knight and Ms. Lawrence a tour," Min-suk explained. "They're interested in meeting our talented trainees. Please introduce them."
Eun-ae nodded quickly but hesitated. "Um… boss, my English isn't very good. I'm not confident—"
Before she could finish, a light brown-haired young woman with an oval-shaped face, high cheekbones, and full lips stepped forward. Her slender frame carried a natural elegance as she confidently interjected.
"Sunbaenim, let me. I can speak English well."
Eun-ae blinked in slight surprise before recognition dawned on her. "Oh, Park Chaeyoung? You speak English?" She studied the young trainee for a moment before nodding in understanding. "Right, I almost forgot—you lived in Australia."
Chaeyoung smiled and gave a small nod.
Hyun-suk and Min-suk turned their attention to her.
She was one of YG's promising trainees, already set to debut in the group Blackpink under the stage name Rosé. The group had been gaining attention, building a solid fan base, but they had yet to reach the legendary status of YG's senior acts like BigBang.
Before either brother could mention that Lucas spoke fluent Korean, Chaeyoung had already stepped forward, addressing the Hollywood stars directly.
"Hi, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Jennifer smiled and responded, "Hi."
Lucas nodded politely, though internally, he recognized the young woman immediately.
He knew that, regardless of how active Blackpink became, Rosé would eventually carve her own path as a successful artist.
Glancing around, he noticed that the other two members of the group were absent. Perhaps they were in another practice session.
Chaeyoung introduced herself formally. "I'm Park Chaeyoung."
Jennifer tried to repeat the name, her pronunciation a little off. "Che-cheyung?"
Chaeyoung chuckled softly. "Just call me Roseanne instead."
Jennifer let out a small, embarrassed laugh. "Roseanne. Nice to meet you."
Roseanne smiled, flattered by the attention.
Lucas, who had been observing quietly, finally spoke. "Roseanne… is that your English name?"
The young trainee froze for a moment, realizing that Lucas Knight was speaking directly to her.
Her heart fluttered—Lucas had always been one of her Hollywood crushes, and now he was casually speaking to her.
"Um… yes," she answered, feeling a little breathless. "I lived in Australia before coming here."
Lucas nodded in acknowledgment, then allowed Roseann to continue introducing the coaches and trainees.
Standing slightly behind her, Jisoo watched as her friend effortlessly conversed with the Hollywood superstars.
A small pang of regret settled in her chest—she wished she had learned English better.
After some light introductions and small talk, Lucas glanced around before addressing the group. "I see everyone was practicing before we arrived... If you don't mind," he paused, his gaze settling on Roseann, "can we watch you guys dance?"
Roseann blinked in slight surprise before quickly nodding, "Of course! That's not a problem at all."
Turning to the other trainees, she smoothly explained Lucas's request in Korean.
Jisoo, standing beside her, immediately paled, her expression shifting to quiet panic. "This is embarrassing… You know I'm not that good at dancing," she whispered urgently to Roseann.
Roseanne chuckled, nudging her playfully. "That's because you never take dance practice seriously." She winked, "Maybe having two Hollywood superstars watching will finally make you put in some effort."
Other trainees chimed in with amused grins.
"You can't slack off this time, Jisoo. Now you have to prove you can dance!"
"I bet she'll catch the stars' attention—but for all the wrong reasons."
Laughter rippled through the group.
Jisoo fidgeted nervously, her fingers clasping together. Meanwhile, Jennifer, who had been quietly observing the conversation, leaned closer to Lucas and whispered, "What are they talking about?"
Lucas smirked. "They're in awe of my handsomeness and can't stop talking about it."
Jennifer raised an eyebrow. "Really?"
Lucas chuckled, shaking his head. "Just kidding."
Jennifer let out a soft huff before playfully stomping her sandal on his shoe, causing Lucas to chuckle even more.
While they were teasing each other, Eun-ae had already gathered the trainees and prepared them for the performance.
A strong beat filled the room, and with synchronization, the trainees launched into their routine, their movements sharp and precise.
As the trainees danced, Hyun-suk leaned toward Lucas and asked in Korean, "What do you think? Anyone catching your eye?"
Lucas watched intently, arms crossed. After a moment, he gestured toward Roseann, who moved with fluidity and confidence.
"Chaeyoung dances well," he noted.
Then, shifting his gaze, he pointed toward Jisoo, who was clearly struggling—her movements stiff, but her determination evident.
"And that one… she's not as skilled, but she's really putting in the effort."
Hyun-suk and Min-suk both followed his gaze, taking in his observations as Lucas continued analyzing each trainee's technique and style, his keen eye picking up on their strengths and weaknesses.
Hyun-suk and his brother were genuinely surprised by Lucas's ability to analyze the trainees' dancing. His insights were sharp—almost professional—as if he had actual experience in the field.
Minutes passed, and as the music faded out, the trainees took a moment to catch their breath. Just as Lucas and Jennifer were about to offer their feedback, Roseanne unexpectedly turned toward them with an enthusiastic smile.
"How about you guys join us for a dance? I can teach you."
Lucas and Jennifer both blinked in mild surprise.
Jennifer's eyes widened slightly, but after a moment of consideration, she grinned and turned to Lucas. "Why not? I know a little about dance. How about you?"
Lucas shrugged, a casual smirk tugging at his lips. "I haven't danced in a while. My skills might be a little rusty."
The two stepped forward, accepting the challenge.
Meanwhile, Hyun-suk, Min-suk, and the other YG staff exchanged confused looks until the translator quickly explained the situation.
Min-suk let out a disbelieving chuckle. "This girl has the guts to invite two Hollywood superstars to train with her?" He shook his head, "She really is young."
Hyun-suk nodded but observed the situation with intrigue. "Well, it seems Lucas and Jennifer don't mind at all."
Then, lowering his voice, he muttered to his brother, "And maybe… just maybe… Lucas will forget about what you said earlier with your damn mouth."
Min-suk let out a deep sigh, a trace of helplessness in his expression. "I don't think he'll forget that."
Hyun-suk could only sigh, shifting his gaze toward Lucas and Jennifer, who were now being led to the center of the studio by Roseann.
The other trainees watched with curiosity, their excitement barely contained. Even Jisoo, though still nervous about her own dancing, observed with interest.
As the familiar beat from the speakers filled the studio, Roseanne turned to Lucas and Jennifer and explained, "This song is our group's first big hit—it's called 'Whistle.'"
Her voice carried a hint of pride, though she remained humble—after all, she was standing in front of Lucas Knight, whose music videos on YouTube had billions of views, and even his non-MV songs surpassed hundreds of millions of streams.
"It already has 78 million views," she added, her tone proud but not boastful.
"Really? That's amazing," Jennifer said, clearly impressed.
Lucas nodded, listening to the beat. "It sounds good, too."
Hearing two global superstars praise her group's song, Roseann suddenly felt a bit shy. "Ye-yeah…" she mumbled, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
Lucas and Jennifer exchanged a brief glance, both finding Roseanne easy and natural to talk to. She had a charming energy, making the interaction light and enjoyable.
Soon after, Roseanne began teaching them the choreography for "Whistle."
Her movements were smooth, precise, and effortlessly sultry, each step executed with grace.
The trainees and staff looked on, amazed at the sight—Roseanne Park Chaeyoung was now teaching two Hollywood superstars how to dance.
Jennifer tried to follow along, but her stiff movements made it clear that dancing wasn't her strong suit. The trainees laughed softly, though not in a mean-spirited way.
Jennifer flushed slightly but, being the professional she was, laughed along with them. "I wasn't built for this," she joked, maintaining her usual charm.
Among the spectators, Jisoo let out a small breath of relief.
She had been feeling insecure about her own lack of dancing skills, but seeing Jennifer Lawrence struggle too made her feel a little better.
On the other hand, Lucas picked up the moves quickly, adapting with ease.
Though the choreography was gender-neutral, it had a feminine flair, yet Lucas managed to execute it in a way that suited him naturally, maintaining his usual confidence and fluidity.
As Roseann observed him, she couldn't help but stare in awe.
"He's… really good."
And she wasn't the only one who thought so.
"He's so cool," a young trainee muttered under her breath.
"Honestly, anything he does looks good."
"I want to hug him."
More whispers spread among the trainees as they watched Lucas move effortlessly, his presence commanding the room even in something as simple as a dance session.
Meanwhile, Hyun-suk and Min-suk stood near the back, watching the scene unfold.
Min-suk exhaled in mild disbelief. "If we can, we should talk to Lucas about a possible collaboration. He can dance well and sing well. He'd fit perfectly in a Psy or even a BigBang music video."
Hyun-suk nodded in agreement. "That's true…" but then, his voice lowered. "But before we pitch that, we should focus on something else—coming up with a better explanation for the leak about his stake in the company."
Min-suk groaned, "You think he'll let that slide just because we let him dance in the studio?"
Hyun-suk sighed. "Not a chance… but at least we can soften the mood before addressing it."
The two fell silent, watching Lucas interact so easily with their trainees, while at the back of their minds, they scrambled for a way to do damage control.
After some time, the song ended, and Lucas and Jennifer stepped back, catching their breath.
Roseanne, slightly out of breath and lightly sweating, wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. "Incredible," she said, still looking at Lucas in amazement. "I never expected you to be so good at dancing."
Lucas chuckled, exhaling lightly. "I've had some training in past projects."
Jennifer raised her hand slightly. "I've also trained for some of my movies… but clearly, I'm not as good."
Roseann smiled, comforting her. "Actually, you weren't bad at all. With a little practice, I'm sure you'd get it."
Jennifer nodded, appreciating the encouragement.
The three were clearly getting along well, their conversation flowing easily.
Before long, Roseanne, out of pure enthusiasm, volunteered to give Lucas and Jennifer a personal tour of the YG building.
Jisoo, not wanting to be left behind, immediately joined in.
Seeing that Lucas and Jennifer didn't seem to mind, Hyun-suk and Min-suk allowed it, even encouraging it.
In fact, from the way the two Hollywood stars smiled and engaged with the girls, it was clear that having Roseann and Jisoo around only made the experience more enjoyable for them.
