Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Whispers of the Prophecy

A few days after the Nine-Tailed Fox attack, at the Council Room, where all influential people throughout the Village Hidden in the Leaf gather to discuss the terrible tragedy that happened.

Due to the special nature of the meeting, the civilian parts of the council members were not included.

While this greatly dissatisfied the civilian councils, at the end of the day the whole village was run by ninjas, and the meeting that was going to happen right now was about sharing everyone's heavily guarded secrets.

Minato began to tell everyone in the room what really happened that night and how the Nine-Tailed Fox got released and why the Third Hokage died as well, despite the fact many ninjas saw him being well and not suffering from any lethal injuries.

"So... in short, this masked man is the one responsible for the fact that the Nine Tails Fox was released?" Shikaku asks, his voice serious and devoid of his usual laziness.

The people in the room stared at Minato, waiting for his confirmation. The fact that someone is capable of controlling the Nine Tails Fox and at the same time possesses far superior space-time technique than Minato is quite shocking, to say the least.

They were in fact still unable to digest what Minato was telling them, but after experiencing the disaster a few days ago and the reason behind the late action of Minato, everyone slowly began to accept the truth.

"Indeed," Minato slowly nodded. "I also believe that this person isn't an Uchiha even though he has the Sharingan."

"Why is that?" Danzo asks, his voice flat and emotionless, and everyone who heard it felt chills in their spines.

Fugaku also stared at Minato, wanting an explanation. While it was good news for the Uchiha Clan that the Hokage personally cleared their name from involvement in the disaster that happened a few days ago, it didn't mean Fugaku wasn't curious about the reason behind Minato's claim.

Fugaku is sure he wasn't the only one who was curious about it.

Everyone immediately stared at Danzo before their stare went to Fugaku. They know that for some reason Danzo started to target the Uchiha Clan throughout the past years.

With his interference alone, that Uchiha almost lost all its political powers, but with Minato managing to take the seat as the 4th Hokage, he immediately provides the Uchiha Clan the political powers they rightly deserve.

With Minato's actions, the Uchiha Clan is one of the factions that politically supports Minato.

Also, with Minato taking the seat of the Hokage, Danzo and the two elders, as well as the civilian council members, slowly lose their political powers, which really angers Danzo the most.

But with Minato's charisma and leadership, Danzo failed to regain his political power. If it wasn't for Hiruzen's influence, the three elders might have even lost their political power altogether.

"We managed to acquire the DNA of that person and tried to match it with any ninja registered since the start of the 2nd Hokage's reign, when he made a policy that made all ninjas in the leaf have to register their DNA," Minato calmly said and looked at Tsunade.

"After careful analysis, we confirm that the DNA of that person didn't match with anyone in the records. Of course, this method isn't foolproof, as there are many ninja that we didn't register, especially the ninja under the 1st Hokage's reign. But even with that, the possibility of that person being part of the Uchiha Clan isn't even close," Tsunade explained.

"If that person isn't part of the Uchiha Clan or the Leaf, how do you explain the Sharingan?" Danzo inquired.

Fugaku frowned, clearly seeing the intent behind Danzo's question, but didn't vocalize his opinion and let Minato and Tsunade answer and explain.

"It's probably the same situation as Kakashi Hatake. After all, it's just been two years since the end of the Third Great Ninja War," Tsunade explains, but everyone manages to feel the pain hidden in her voice.

This wasn't a surprise to everyone, as they know the losses she had thanks to the Third Great Ninja War. In fact everyone in the room felt the same way despite the fact their villages won the war.

Everyone also immediately starts to believe Minato's statements since everyone knows that Tsunade was the best medical ninja in the whole ninja world. Her words carry a weight that is hard to ignore.

Danzo stayed quiet, but anyone could feel that he was angry about the outcomes.

It was clear as day that Danzo tries to blame the Uchiha Clan for the tragedy that happened and at the same time regain his previous political powers.

While the other two elders didn't openly support Danzo, that doesn't mean they weren't accomplices; after all, they also didn't like the fact that they lost their political power.

Everyone immediately starts discussing the reconstruction of the villages and the information they are about to share with the whole villages after the Nine-Tailed Fox Attack.

The first information that everyone released about the Uchiha Clan was that they were innocent of the Nine-Tailed Fox Attack.

This made Fugaku happy, but of course he didn't let his face show his feelings and always wore the serious look he had.

The meeting continued for hours before it officially ended, and Minato slowly made his way back to the Hokage office.

The moment he opened the door, what greeted him was the 5 shadow clones working on the paperwork. Minato knew that everyone would use this tragedy to increase their political power, especially the civilian side of the council.

Thankfully, though, the 2nd Hokage created the Shadow Clone Technique; if it wasn't created, then solving this major problem would probably be a pain in the ass, to say the least.

Still, this really made Minato question Hiruzen since, for the time he met him while the latter was still the 3rd Hokage, his office was full of papers.

Hiruzen knows the Shadow Clone Technique, so why Hiruzen didn't use it to help his work as Hokage is a great mystery to Minato that will probably never be solved.

Just as Minato is about to sit down in the chair and help his clone finish the documents on his table, he suddenly notices someone enter the room through the window.

The fact that the ANBU guards didn't move and he felt no ill intent didn't make him alert but instead made him slowly turn his head and face the person who entered the room in the most bizarre and disrespectful way in the eyes of the public.

"Hey brat!" The man with long hair had a forehead protector that described the word "oil" instead of the usual symbol of the Village Hidden in the Leaf.

Minato knows this person and didn't find the way he acted disrespectful since Minato believes in the character of this person.

"Hello, Jiraiya Sensei," Minato greeted Jiraiya.

Jiraiya, the Toad Sage and one of the Legendary Sannin alongside Tsunade and Orochimaru. Jiraiya was also Minato's sensei since the latter's genin years.

"Why did the toads reverse summon you back in Mount Myoboku, sensei?" Minato inquired.

Minato tried to locate Jiraiya after the sealing of the Nine Tails Fox but later learned that some ninja saw Jiraiya disappear in a cloud of smoke.

Half an hour later someone from Mount Myoboku informed Minato about the fact that Jiraiya is being called back but didn't inform Minato of the reason behind it.

This really made Minato curious about the reason behind the sudden development, and he can only hope it wasn't a bad one. He believes that the village will not be able to take it lightly if something terrible happens after the attack of the Nine-Tailed Fox.

"It's about the prophecy, and the Great Toad Sage said the world will face a great danger in the upcoming years. The Child of Prophecy will be born. He/She will hold a great power and will be the one who decides either to save the world or bring it to its end," Jiraiya seriously said, and at the end his voice turned cold, which gave everyone a fright.

In fact, if anyone saw Jiraiya right now, they would be surprised, especially by the serious face he had right now. One must know that it was incredibly rare for Jiraiya to be serious, as he was known to be a carefree man.

But the fact that he was incredibly serious at this moment just shows how incredibly serious the prophecy is and the danger behind it if one didn't think and plan it thoroughly.

Minato copies Jiraiya's serious expression. He believes the information that Jiraiya provides not only because he was Minato's sensei but also because everyone knows how incredibly accurate every prophecy the toads usually provide is.

The fact that such prophecy stated the danger to the whole world means it is something to be taken seriously, to be prepared for while planning to prevent such a terrible outcome from ever happening again.

This is especially true after what Minato experienced that night. This is why he takes the prophecy more seriously than anyone else—even more than Jiraiya at this moment.

"After thinking it through thoroughly, I believe that one of my children is the child of prophecy," Minato seriously said.

It wasn't overconfidence but due to the Nine-Tailed Fox powers sealed within his children. Minato believes that this is the great power that the Great Toad Sage talks about.

"I believe so too. It's got to be either Menma, Mito, or Yayoi, as they hold great power, just like the prophecy stated," Jiraiya said while adopting a thinking pose.

He was already informed of the fact that the Nine-Tailed Fox powers were sealed into the three children of Minato.

"So what should we do?" Minato asked.

"Train them, of course! Prepare them to save the world," Jiraiya said in a lively manner, which caused Minato to smile.

"Come on then. Take me to my godchildren," Jiraiya said while pulling Minato, leaving Minato clones working the paperwork, and the two headed back into the Uzumaki Namikaze Estate.
