"What the hell?! What's wrong with my hand?!"
Upon hearing this exclamation, Deathstroke confirmed that the good agent was back. He was speechless. It was obviously a one-man show, yet it turned into a murder scene. Someone who didn't know might have thought he'd actually been shot.
Despite this, Deathstroke took out the medicine, handed it to Shiller, and said, "Looks like your plan completely failed. He said he was looking for someone, but he didn't help you find them. Ended up shooting himself..."
"He found them." Shiller said while gently gasping and bandaging the wound on his hand, "I just feel it wasn't worth it; I wouldn't have let him come if I had known."
"Exchanging health for intelligence doesn't work," Deathstroke said, "I learned that on my first day in this line of work."
"Ha, that's where you're wrong." Shiller sneered, "He doesn't exchange intelligence for harming his health. He has a knack for harming his health."
"You said he found it, did he tell you?"
Shiller nodded and said, "I have a general direction. Let's go."
Predictably, Cairo's largest Red Light District, a brothel disguised by hotels and illegal drug stores, had special rooms. They're meant for big shots to enjoy. They would keep their "lovers" here. Hayven had three rooms here, but only one was their target.
When the car arrived, they already heard the noise. Deathstroke frowned and said, "Could that group of terrorists really find time to come here for a hooker?"
They also smelled the burning in the air, although this place was quite far from the airport. The fire at the airport shouldn't have spread here. The only possibility was that this place was on fire too.
In such dry regions, fires are common. But they usually happen in the slums. In places like the Red Light District, fire patrols are more frequent because it wouldn't be good if some big shots got caught in the fire. It's strange that a fire started here.
The two got out of the car and swaggered inside without being stopped because many people had gone to the scene of the fire. They followed the scent of burning to the edge of the fire.
Shiller's expression turned grim, and Deathstroke looked at him and said, "Could it be here?"
Shiller nodded. The hotel before them was almost a skeleton from the fire. The cries around them were faint, indicating no one was likely burned to death. But if everyone inside fled, it would be harder to find his target.
Shiller locked onto a woman in the crowd. He walked over, offered her money, and said, "I need to find a strong lady. Possibly Asian. At least 40 years old..."
"We don't have such a person here." The woman replied cautiously.
"With everything going on, haven't you realized the kind of trouble you're involved in? Tell me who's in trouble, or the trouble will be yours."
The woman looked furious but saw the gun Shiller had in his arms. It was undoubtedly a big one. She couldn't afford to lose another building. So she bit her lip and said, "That odd lady had only one guest. I think you know who he is."
"Odd lady?"
"She's not a prostitute and isn't under our control. That place is more like a secret rendezvous. Many people like that here. But..."
"But what?"
"She's the most special one. She protected this place once. You know what those people see us as. Few people do that. She was the first to alert others about the fire."
"Do you know where she went?"
"I don't know the exact location, but I suspect she might think the fire is related to the airport fire. After all, both involve arson..."
"Okay, I understand. Thank you, miss."
Shiller returned to Deathstroke, and Deathstroke looked at him and said, "How did it go? Did you find her?"
"To the airport."
They then made their way to the airport, arriving just in time. Screams came from the airport. Deathstroke immediately pulled out his weapon and said, "Stick close behind me... Don't mess with your tank barrel unless necessary."
Shiller didn't argue; his old pistol ran out of bullets. If he had to shoot again, he could only use the revolver. But that guy hit his dominant hand. His hand couldn't handle the recoil now.
Luckily, Deathstroke was fiercely formidable. He didn't even use that great sword, grabbing two Two-handed Swords and spun wildly like a meat grinder. Any enemy that showed up was chopped into fragments.
They entered the terminal. It was nearly empty, but the screams didn't come from there; they were echoing from the departure hall behind. As they advanced, a few terrorists charged out but were swiftly decimated by Deathstroke.
They stormed further inside and saw a figure amidst the densest group of terrorists. It was a woman, weaponless, fighting ten or more men barehanded. Her moves were invisible, yet they were already down.
"Ouch..."
"What's wrong?" Shiller asked.
"You know my reputation, right?"
"World's number one mercenary."
"Exactly, a mercenary, not an assassin. Care to guess why?"
"Why?"
"The person in front of us is the world's number one assassin." Deathstroke pointed with his chin at the figure ahead, "Lady Siwa. One of the few people I don't want to meet. Worth mentioning, I was on the list of candidates to be her child's father."
"What???"
"She wanted to find a man to have a child with, then train that child to become the most formidable assassin. She had her eye on me. But I didn't agree."
"Why?"
"Don't you think that's a bit excessive?"
"I wasn't asking why you didn't agree; I was asking why she chose you."
"Could you be a bit more polite?"
As the two were chatting, the terrorists were already knocked down completely. And those piercing eyes looked their way. Shiller immediately sensed something was off, pulling Deathstroke and commanded, "Go!"
Unfortunately, they couldn't leave. That woman appeared like a phantom behind Deathstroke. He raised his sword to block, but was sent flying. He shouted, "Wait, Sandra! We mean no harm..."
But the opponent didn't stop, delivering an uppercut. Deathstroke blocked again, kicking towards her wrist, yet was countered and knocked down. Shiller, without hesitation, drew his revolver and fired a shot. While the woman was stunned, Deathstroke hurriedly got up from the ground.
"Just run!!!" Shiller yelled.
Deathstroke dared not linger in battle. He shot a grapple to catch the railing on the second floor, ascended and tossed the grapple to Shiller. But Shiller didn't have time to use it because Lady Siwa was already up close.
Shiller first bent down to dodge her punch, fired another shot with a bang. Both of their eardrums were damaged. But Shiller, having fired so many shots, had some resistance, while the opponent clearly didn't expect the noise to be this loud, being less prepared, thus stunned for a longer time than Shiller.
Taking advantage of this moment, Shiller used the grapple to grab the railing on the second floor and escaped. He and Deathstroke ran towards the airport exit. At this time, no need to provide cover; whoever runs slower is at the forefront.
Luckily, Lady Siwa did not chase after them. The two glanced at each other, Deathstroke sighed deeply, "If I knew she was here, I wouldn't have come. I can't beat her."
To his surprise, Shiller didn't argue. He nodded and said, "When I saw the information, I had a premonition. If this wasn't a major problem, he wouldn't flee."
"You knew it was a major problem yet you..."
Deathstroke's tone faltered halfway. He realized he appeared rather cowardly, so he could only say, "That woman is too strong. Not just me, Batman also can't beat her. Maybe you should call Wonder Woman..."
"Have her come personally?"
"Tell her to give up. Women shouldn't make it difficult for other women. Whoever brought her here, just give them the mural."
Shiller didn't quip about Deathstroke's attitude. In fact, Lady Siwa appearing here was indeed the worst news. This woman is known as the world's number one assassin and the most formidable fighter.
Deathstroke is quite strong, fighting the Teen Titans evenly. Yet all the Robins were instantly defeated by Lady Siwa. Her record is astonishing: a slap for Robin, a slap for Deathstroke, and the Batman Family received Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms. This Batman Family includes Batman. Batman also couldn't beat her.
However, Lady Siwa is a person who values honor greatly. Back when Batman's back was broken by Bane, she helped him through rehabilitation. Of course, in the Prime Universe, there shouldn't be the matter of a broken back now. Whether she has fought Batman is uncertain. But this doesn't deny her strength.
Logically, such a person can be negotiated with, after all, Shiller just wants the mural. However, Lady Siwa's state seems abnormal. This blocks the last path.
Shiller pursed his lips and said, "She might be hired by Hayven, but is already out of control. He is probably also troubled by the current situation. We must find him."
"He must be hiding in a safe house now." Deathstroke said.
"Then let's find Hesingnag. This guy can cooperate with Hayven for so long, he must have some leverage over him."
"The problem is where is Hesingnag?" Deathstroke thought for a moment, "When he saw you weren't dead, he should've run. He shouldn't be stupid enough to stay until now, right?"
"Hayven wouldn't let him run. These people are fair-weather friends. He must have the idea that if he can't handle me, he'll hand over the mural and Hesingnag. He won't let him go."
"The museum," Shiller said, "Once we left, those two must have had a dispute. Hayven might choose to trap Hesingnag in the museum's basement. Let's take a look."
Deathstroke nodded, he thought Shiller's reasoning was correct. Once Hayven realizes Shiller's strength, he would definitely leave an escape route for himself. Betrayal would be the Hesingnag who betrayed Shiller. In that case, Hayven wouldn't let him walk out of the museum because if he lets him out, he would certainly flee."
The two returned to the museum. At this time the museum was already closed and not open to the public, saving them the trouble. They came to the underground, where they previously met Hayven and Hesingnag. But Hesingnag wasn't there.
Shiller walked over, discovered some traces on the ground. He crouched and wiped the floor with his hand. Deathstroke walked over, saw a small pool of blood there.
"Someone broke in and took him away," Shiller said, "Hesingnag fired a shot and hit the person, but the person still took him away."
"It couldn't be Lady Siwa," Deathstroke said, "If a gun could hit her, we wouldn't be so troubled."
"This proves Hayven wasn't the one who took him away. Then who could it be?" Shiller frowned, "Why do I feel someone beat us to it?"
