On a giant ice wall, a hundred meters high and over a dozen meters wide, there was a large group of soldiers wearing cold-resistant clothes roaring. They stood in a line on the ice wall, operating thousands of heavy crossbows in unison.
Crash!
The tensioned crossbow strings were released, shattering huge swathes of snowflakes falling from the sky. A crossbow arrow, entirely made of metal and at least three meters long, was shot out. It clearly wasn't meant for dealing with humans.
The metal crossbow arrow tore through the air, almost instantly reaching the base of the ice wall, piercing through a humanoid creature's body without any obstruction.
With a crack, the upper body of the humanoid creature exploded, and pale green blood splattered. Its lower body stumbled forward a few steps before collapsing on the ground.
