A towering tree that had endured a lightning strike stood tall in the rainforest. This tree had been growing for at least several hundred years, with a diameter of nearly 6 meters. Lightning had once shattered its crown, but the tree tenaciously survived and now had a new crown.
At the midpoint of the giant tree, Su Xiao emerged from a temporarily dug-out tree hole. In the rainforest, the most important point in resting was to stay away from the ground; otherwise, a peaceful rest would be impossible.
"Bubu."
Su Xiao called to Bubu Wang inside the tree hole. Bubu Wang appeared to be in a daze. Over the past few dozen hours, it had devoured the flesh of sixteen polar creatures, for which Su Xiao was covered in wounds.
