A faint cloud of powder drifted through the air, settling over the wolf's snout and the porcupine's quills. Kisha didn't hold back either; she deliberately used a generous amount to ensure the sedative would last longer, especially considering the two were high-level mutated animals with stronger resistance than normal beasts.
Once done, she immediately stepped back and maintained her telekinetic hold.
All that was left now was to wait for the drug to take effect.
However, as expected, it wasn't instantaneous.
Their bodies tensed almost immediately, instincts flaring as they sensed something was wrong. The mutated black wolf growled weakly and began to struggle again, twisting its body in midair, while the porcupine squealed and wiggled frantically as if trying to shake the powder off.
To them, the unfamiliar scent and sensation of the substance felt suspicious, almost like an attack, which only made them resist harder at first.
But their exhaustion worked against them.
