Third person POV
A bit later, the rest of Croix's assigned NBI team came with Eduardo in handcuffs. Hoshi and the others had been passing the short time by doing stuff in their phones. Hoshi checked his post he had made less than an hour ago, and he had seen that it garnered some attention, and the majority of the commentators were skeptical at his claim. He then decided not to make an update and keep things for later.
"Let us go!" one of the corrupt cops scowled.
"Nope!" Taro responded.
"No can do…" Hoshi added while scrolling in his phone.
And then, Eduardo was thrown in front of Croix and some of his coworkers, and Croix glared at him seriously while Sha was concerned yet was angry on the inside at Eduardo.
"Boss!" shouted one of the 7 suspects.
"Tayo ay nahuli nila!" another added in despair.
"Ano ito?!" Eduardo demanded at Croix.
"Eduardo Chanchal…" Croix responded, "…grabe ka…you really went too far this time…"
"Ano ang ginawa ko?" Chanchal asked in despair, trying to victimize himself.
"Mamatay-tao ka!" Croix shouted at him, before punching him in the face hard.
Hoshi and the others were taken aback by his outburst.
"Grabe ka!" Eduardo responded. "You don't know ang pagdurusa ko…!"
But Croix would not buy that. "Pumatay ka ng maraming tao sa lugar na ito!"
"Opo, boss, nalaman nila ang ginawa natin!" one of the corrupted cops added. "Mamatay tayo dito!"
Because of that, Eduardo was shocked that his scheme had been discovered somehow by the NBI and their allies and helpers and eventually demanded where his son was.
Eventually, Croix responded by tossing a body bag and having it opened by one of his coworkers, revealing a headless cadaver and a detached head.
It was Eduardo's son, and Eduardo was very, very horrified as the others watched his horror.
Croix had essentially tortured him psychologically to punish him.
Eduardo cried a bit at his son's death in the hands of those who took his life away and looked at Croix and a couple of others, putting the blame on them for murdering his son and not understanding his suffering in his life.
This revealed one thing in Eduardo's past: his wife died after giving birth to their only disfigured child, and he himself had defended himself and his son all these years with money as an official. However, he felt that the money he was making from his job wasn't enough at all, so he unleashed this murderous scheme using the LRT trains and depot as traps for money and had involved a couple of corrupt, gullible, and savvy cops to cover up his crimes. That protected him and his accomplices for 2 months now…
The revelation sent shocks to Croix and the others. Hoshi and the others were shocked at his past trauma, and the things that build up from that. Croix was shocked, yet he knows that it wasn't a justification for Eduardo to commit all these crimes. "Okay, but what do you feel of losing your son, huh? You just roped him into this scheme instead of…"
Hoshi then snapped out and added, "Ba't hindi mo mag-gastos ng pera sa pag-opera sa kanyang mukha?"
This sounded counterintuitive, but it was reasonable and logical thanks to his logic and reasoning.
But, Eduardo snapped at the Filipino Japanese and accused him of conspiracy to commit murder of his son.
So, Hoshi admitted it and said that his other self was the one who done it.
Those words really disgusted Eduardo and felt being swindled by him.
