Yamato stared at Marcus confused for a moment before she asked, "Huh? What do you mean? Is someone trying to kill me… And where do I need to go?"
Marcus stepped into the light of the camp fire fully as he said, "Only your dad is trying to kill you… As for me, I want to take you on an adventure to see the world!"
The moment she heard, 'adventure to see the world.' Yamato disregarded everything else she heard and focused on that as her eyes lit up as she stared at Marcus with widened eyes and asked, "What?!?"
"I said I want to take you on an adventure…"
Yamato rushed forward and grabbed Marcus by the shoulders and shook him hard as she said, "Yes! Yes! Yes! More than anything else I want to travel the world!"
Marcus smiled slightly at Yamato's enthusiasm as he said, "Then pack up your stuff and let's leave before your dad gets back."
"This is all I have."
Marcus followed her gesture from the clothes she currently wore to a small sack resting on the ground next to her weapon before he said, "Great, then let's go before the Marys catch up and find us."
Yamato moved to her stuff as she breathed ice over the fire before she said, "Okay!"
Marcus shook his head at how ridiculously easy this was going but decided not to say anything and see how long it took for Yamato to ask for his name. With her weapon over one shoulder and the small sack in her other hand, Marcus led her towards the back of the Skull Dome and the island. After walking for less than a minute Yamato paused but then kept walking as she asked, "Wait, who are you anyway?
Marcus held out the meat to her again as he said, "It's nice to 'Meat' you, just call me Rocks for now."
Yamato stared at the offered meat for a moment before she let out a laugh and took it as she said, "It's nice to 'meat' you too, Rocks. You can call me Oden."
As Yamato held the meat in the same hand as the sack containing her belongings she asked, "So where are we going? Isn't the dock the other way?"
"I snuck onto the island from the back and climbed up the mountains. My boat is currently hidden out there."
Yamato took a bite of her roasted meat as she asked, "Oh, that was smart. So are we gonna go explore the rest of Wano first?"
"No, we only have a limited time to run away or we might run into your dad or someone we can't beat."
"Oh, wait! I can't leave Wano or my cuffs will explode… At least that's what my father told me." Yamato said as she stopped in her tracks and held up the thick cuffs on her arms.
"I'll take care of that before we leave the island… But we have people incoming."
Yamato turned her head in the direction she felt people coming from at the same time Marcus spoke as he added, "If we have to fight them, let's do it as we retreat to my boat."
They kept moving and a minute later a handful of people landed in front of them. One of them was someone Marcus already kinda met, Bao. But the other three people were new and Marcus wasn't completely sure if they could beat one of them.
The person in question towered over everyone else present at eleven feet tall with a lean yet well-toned build. His red jacket was unbuttoned along with the black shirt underneath which exposed his chest and a purple tattoo that covered it. His height partly came from his particularly long legs while he had a light complexion.
The man wore a red colored helmet that covered his horns and the top half of his face. While a mane of wavy, pink-colored hair came out of it and went a little past his waist. When they stopped in front of Marcus and Yamato, he looked down at them with a cigarette in his mouth through the yellow colored lens of his helmet.
The last two people were dressed up like cats and wore purple colored half masks over the top of their heads with cat ears on top. Both were women and while one wore fishnets and a black low cut leotard that showed off her impressive chest. The other woman was dressed in a green latex half jacket that showed off her toned mid riff, while a pair of green latex pants sat low on her hips and showed off her V-line.
Everyone paused for a few moments as they sized each other up before Bao pointed at Marcus and asked, "You're not part of the Beast Pirates, who are you and how did you get here?"
"I'm Rocks and I sailed here like everyone else."
"You were never spotted at the harbor, how did you sneak in?" Who's-Who asked before he took a long drag from his cigarette.
Marcus shrugged as he said, "Not my fault you guys missed me. Are we done here? My friend and I have better things to do."
"The only place you're going is the prison." Who's-Who said as he reached down to grab Marcus.
Marcus slapped the incoming hand away which rang out like metal hitting metal before Marcus rushed forward and jumped up to throw a punch at the man's stomach as he said, "Go!"
Yamato threw the large piece of meat in her hand at the two smaller women before she swung her large studded kanabo at Bao who jumped back and barely dodged the attack. Marcus's punch landed at almost the same time and even though he was in the air, he kicked off with geppo to give it extra weight. Who's-Who blocked the attack with tekkai, but the force of the blow lifted him off his feet and sent him flying backwards.
Who's-Who flipped through the air for a moment before he kicked off of it with geppo and flew towards Marcus as he snarled, "He might be a government agent!"
Marcus didn't bother to correct him as he grabbed a rock the size of a baseball from the ground and threw it towards Who's-Who imbued with haki like it was a bullet. Who's-Who dodged the incoming projectile easily at the same time he launched a couple of rankyaku back towards Marcus. As Marcus dodged, he moved towards the back of the island with Yamato who slammed her mace into a boulder and turned it into a shotgun blast towards their enemies.
Bao easily dodged the incoming projectile, but the other two girls couldn't and Who's-Who ended up jumping in front of them. When the dust settled, Who's-Who spit the broken cigarette from his mouth as he said, "Call for backup, I'll chase after them."
Before the others could reply, he disappeared from view by using soru. Less than half a minute later he closed in behind Marcus and launched a shigan attack at his back. Marcus pivoted at the last moment as he twisted around and punched at the incoming finger with a haki coated fist. Yamato reacted at almost the same moment and swung her weapon over Marcus's head towards Who's-Who's chest. While Marcus's counterattack landed, Who's-Who jumped backwards with a flip to dodge Yamato's attack as he launched another pair of rankyaku.
Marcus and Yamato both dodged in opposite directions as Who's-Who sent more rankyaku towards Marcus. Marcus easily dodged them as he retreated while Yamato followed close behind and even returned attacks by turning more boulders into shotgun blasts. With no one needing protection, Who's-Who dodged everything as he unleashed an unending barrage of rankyaku towards the fleeing duo.
While it seemed like he wasn't going all out, Who's-Who already decided to slow them down as much as possible while he waited for backup. His two clashes with the other man let him know that they appeared evenly matched and he couldn't beat the man and Yamato alone. Who's-Who's assault had its intended effect on them as Marcus and Yamato were forced to dodge most of the time compared to moving strictly forward.
"Why are you even trying? It's not like you'll be able to escape the island. The port is already locked down and soon you'll both be surrounded by reinforcements… Just surrender and make my job easier."
Marcus dodged more attacks as he yelled, "Like I would take advice from a failed CP9 agent who turned pirate!"
The barrage of attacks instantly doubled as Who's-Who snapped, "You don't know anything you government dog!"
Marcus laughed as he dodged the large amount of incoming attacks as he said, "Attacking more isn't going to help, we can both easily dodge this."
Who's-Who only increased the amount of attacks in response which did slow the duo down even more. By this point they were almost at the back of the Skull Dome and the spot where Marcus entered the island. As they approached it, Marcus would have failed to notice the mark in his haste but luckily the area was lit up.
Unfortunately the area was lit up because a large group of reinforcements were coming from that direction and it caused Marcus to come up short. Leading the front of the group were two people Marcus knew and one of them was someone he didn't want to fight against.
As Marcus dodged the last of Who's-Who's incoming attacks, he luckily noticed the mark he made in the distance but stopped in place next to Yamato as the other group halted close to them. Who's-Who also stopped attacking and stayed behind them as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it with a smirk on his face.
The two people leading the group towered over everyone else in the area. One was a beautiful pale skinned woman with long blonde hair styled like a geisha, who was easily over twenty six feet tall. Her body proportions for her size made her look slender with wide hips and a large chest that was on display by the low-cut, black kimono with blue and yellow floral patterns that left her shoulders and cleavage fully exposed.
Next to her stood a man who was slightly taller and easily fifteen feet wide at his waist. The massive man also had pale skin and blonde hair but those were the only similarities between the two. While the woman almost looked delicate with her size, the man was built like a brick shit house of pure muscle. His lower jaw was covered with a metallic mask while a sleeveless feathery coat with spiked pauldrons rested on his shoulders.
Jack's bloodshot orange eyes focused on Marcus as he said in an annoyed tone, "This is the little shit who woke me up from my nap?"
Black Maria's sky blue eyes also locked onto Marcus as she calmly took a drag from her long smoking pipe before she blew out a cloud of smoke and said, "That would appear to be the case…"
"Damn, you're one big bitch." Marcus said as he glanced between the two people about hundred yards away from him.
Jack started to laugh as Black Maria's eyes narrowed into slits and she asked in a sickly sweet voice, "What did you just call me?"
"I didn't call you anything, I was talking to the idiot fishman next to you."
Jack instantly stopped laughing and his eyes narrowed as Yamato leaned over and whispered, "I'm down to fight, but I know I can't beat Jack…"
"Surrender now and I'll only break half the bones in your body…"
Marcus glanced towards the mountainous area to the right of them as he whispered back, "I know this is sudden, but do you trust me?"
"Do I really have a choice at this point?"
"You could just walk away." Marcus said with a shrug.
"I would never abandon a companion."
Jack stomped forward which easily brought him almost ten yards closer as he said, "Last chance to surrender before I break all the bones in your body."
Marcus reached back and grabbed his sword from his back and calmly attached it to his hip as he whispered, "Run towards the mountain area almost directly to the right. I'll buy us time for our escape."
"No, I'll fight with you."
Jack stomped forward again as he said, "Times up! Now I'm gonna crush your bones while you beg to surrender."
"Run! I'll be right behind you."
Yamato hesitated for a moment before she ran towards the mountains as Marcus slowly drew his sword and felt it start to pull on his stamina. Jack took another step forward and Marcus felt a slight tremor under his feet, but no one else moved or chased after Yamato. Marcus let out a sigh of relief before he tightened the grip on his sword before he said, "Bankai!"
The moment he spoke, Marcus flooded his sword with power and haki as a massive fire storm erupted from him that easily covered fifty yards in an instant. Who's-Who was the closest and he used soru to escape the blaze that lit up the night like it was noon. Jack was forced to stop in his tracks as he felt the heat of the blaze before his eyes widened and he crossed his arms over his chest. From inside of the blaze Marcus just finished a downward slash that launched a massive fire pillar directly at the man.
The instant the attack was finished Marcus used soru and rushed to the retreating Yamato's side as he sheathed his sword. Jack's angered filled roar could be heard in the distance and a moment later he yelled, "I'm gonna kill you!"
Marcus didn't look back as they rushed up the short distance to the peaks and the edge of the island before they both came to a stop. Jack, Who's-Who and Black Maria weren't far away and the other two should have caught up by now, but they were following behind Jack. Jack looked pissed as he stomped up the mountains towards them. While his clothes looked slightly singed, his hair was another story.
Apparently when he protected himself with haki, he forgot to cover his hair and it was now all burned off. Marcus shared a glance with Yamato as he said "Jump!"
Yamato watched as Marcus jumped off the cliff without a second thought before she followed him a second later over the edge. As they fell towards the water thousands of feet below, Yamato yelled, "I hope you have a plan!"
"Jumping was the plan!" Marcus yelled back as he started to laugh over the rushing wind.
"What?!?"
