Ming Mei smiled, lifted her foot, and nudged Kang Chen's calf: "Stop talking nonsense, if you're such a gentleman, where did those two sons of yours come from."
Kang Chen reached out and grabbed Ming Mei's ankle, bending over to half kneel on the ground, placing Ming Mei's foot on his knee, and then started to massage it. Upon seeing a red patch on her heel almost forming a blister, he felt a pang of heartache.
"Wasn't it just an auction today? Why are you so tired, did something happen?"
Ming Mei shook her head: "Just a minor issue, it's nothing. Let's go downstairs, we shouldn't keep them waiting too long."
Kang Chen said: "Let them wait then, I'll massage your foot, relax your tendons. You've stood in high heels all afternoon, aren't you tired?"
Ming Mei sat on the bed watching Kang Chen kneel there massaging her foot, she licked her lips, her eyes becoming teary again.
