Austin winced as he was denied his sweet release fully, the girl cornered as she cried bitterly, trying to cover her bruised body.
"Get her to my quarters!"
Austin was still catching his breath when a strong slap landed on his cheek, sending him to the floor from the impact, " have you lost your mind Austin! Our rivalry is in and you're here fucking your brains out?" Helena went at him again grabbing him by the hair to his feet only to pull him to walk with her.
Back to the ballroom, people kept enjoying themselves with the music as they danced and ate all they wanted, making alliances was not left out and Helel was caught up by some groups who greeted him wished him well not entirely, he had to smile as his mother thought and it was very difficult to keep up with all the flirting and open interest in him all because he was a prince, a perfect way to the throne and he wanted to throw up.
This was really not his thing but his mother gave him a reassuring smile from where she stood with the nobles surrounding her and the king. The naming began when the Priest arrived and the children were shown to everyone present so was Helel again and the ceremony continued.
" you look lost, brother?" Helel turned to find Austin coming his way, he nearly covered his nose when his nostrils picked up on his previous encounter and he couldn't explain why he was smelling that way but it annoyed him that he wanted to move away from him, why was he blessed with the wolf nostrils to notice even the slightest hint. " you've been certainly busy!" Helel pointed out and Austin stared at him, " I guess, I have! So how is the party, anything to your liking?" He asked and Helel just focused on the people. " nothing much, seems like it was not wholeheartedly meant for me, is it?" Helel said as he raised a brow at him. " what do you mean, maybe you just don't belong here, you don't understand a thing here!" Austin said tauntingly as he grinned. " you know, that's what I thought but then my mother says it's okay, I don't want any of this, but because of you I could try to learn to like it, I may not understand 'a thing here' but I don't need a genius to tell me how fucked up you are" Helel said dryly and Austin grabbed him by the collar. With Helel getting the better of him and definitely enjoying this as he smirked.
"Well lucky for you, I'm not here to fight you and spoil the fun" Austin cleared his throat as he fixed Helel's collar and smiled at him before taking two glasses of wine from the waiters roaming and handed one to Helel. " I think we should make peace at least for today?" He said gesturing his little brother to take the wine and he took it to sip, his mother was going to kill him after this because the wine was definitely alcoholic. Austin left his side and Helel thanked his stars.
Helel's eyes scanned the hall for something and nothing, a maid came to him with a tray of wines and replaced his empty glass and left the serve other guests. He stared at the red liquid in the plane glass, still thinking about what his mother would say, but he was an adolescent already why did she treat him like a six year old child and with that he gulped down the content in his glass and even changed again drinking it all, his eyes turned darker and his body felt weird and he was losing his focus, was this how getting drunk felt!
"Where's my son?" Esther asked a maid passing and was told where the boy stood, she smiled and continued enjoying herself her eyes still fixed on her son who looked troubled, she walked to him and he tried to hide his state. " are you okay?" She asked him, he smiled, " I'm fine mother, you should enjoy yourself!" He said still finding it difficult to concentrate, " did you take blood?" Esther asked him holding his hot face and checking up on him, " what! No I didn't, I mean I'm hungry but I haven't, you said not to drink human blood mother?" He reminded her and she smiled faintly, how long was she going to deceive him to be something that he's never going to be, he's a vampire and vampires drink blood to survive.
"You should drink…sometimes" Esther said sighing out, she should have allowed him to feed like a normal vampire did. "I'm okay, mother! You should go be with father " he said, his last word coming low, so low that an average vampire would have missed. Esther smiled cheerfully and patted his arm before walking away, her movement evidence of her excitement.
"Ha! This is really getting bad" he groaned lowly as he tried to look for the gents. Helel opened the tap and splashed water on his face, breathing in and out, like he was suffocating and opened some bottoms of his shirt to gasp for air. His gums twisting and making him groan in pain, he was hungry and this level of hunger had never happened to him before. He felt like he was going to die in any moment, " Are you okay?" He heard someone ask, damn! This was a human….
He turned around to look at the human who staggered backwards, he looked like in his early thirties, his blood smelled like one with strange sweetness that he wanted to drink but he looked scared and he had never drank from a human. " I -I -I'm not so…" he pulsed when the human nearly fell and cut himself and fresh blood dropped from his arm as his eyes pleaded for his life, Helel did not even realize how he got to the man and sunk his fangs into his neck, he moaned when the fresh blood hit his taste buds and within some seconds Helel pulled away from the man, holding his throat trying to vomit what he had drunk in, with wide eyes he fell on the wet floor, his breath slowing down and eyes blurry, seeing one man increasing to three or more. His body frozen and he stared weakly at the men in black…..
