Everyone got ready to face Doom. They were broken and tired from the fight before this and now they are forced to fight another one. The gangsters were not ready to fight and wanted to run away. Cinder also wanted to follow the gangsters as back at base they were not ready to fight higher and stronger monsters. Essence seeing everyone in despair also changed his plans from a fight head on to a fight mid run. They all bolted back while also fighting goblins, rats and a few hobgoblins and cats. Essence was able to slay 2 more hobgoblins which who both had mana cores. He now had 3. Cinder also managed to kill one which got him 1 Aswell. The rest were slow, but they gathered many goblin cores. Soon enough they reached base. They were holding up quite well. Essence and Cinder ran ahead into the beasts to hunt while the rest carried the injured back to base and tended to them.
Essence killed a mutated dog "Damn! it bit me. Will I get rabies?" Cinder busy fighting responded while slamming a bat right into a rat's head "Why don't you ask that Robin of yours?" "He didn't answer. The question was from by the way lol. Anyways, doesn't this feel too easy? I can solo this night even though it's supposed to shift the tide of the world." Essence's words make Cinder pause "DUDE DON'T JINX IT!" just in time Robin speaks "Well tell your friend I have good news for him." Essence was startled "Woah! When did you spawn in?" Cinder was puzzled "Who are you talking to?" Essence complains "Hey Robin, could you make it so they can hear you too? it's a pain to always repeat your words." Robin sighs "You stupid fool! ONLY YOU are my apostle. these men are your comrades. I speak my word to the world through you. If I could speak my words to everyone, I would never waste my time on a low life like you." Essence was hurt from the comments and angry at himself for asking something like this. He followed up with an important question next "Forget it! Why is this red moon so easy? In the games I use to play and the books I read, the red moon is like really scary and stuff. even you hyped it like I was going to die or something." Robin grinned hard "Well you see, The Dragon you just killed was the owner of these lands. Its presence must have sacred off the other monsters. Your battle was quite the show which must have scared of nearly all of them. Also, this is the first red moon. its effects are Compounded over time. But don't underestimate this one as it still was quite a big boost to them." The grin on Robin's face didn't budge an inch. Essence soon caught on "You are probably hiding something. Your smile, your laugh and your answers, they all hint at something which you are not telling me." Robin busted out laughing "Not bad, Child. you always live up to my expectations. But it won't be fun for me to tell you everything. Taste death a little more." The moment Essence heard the word death; he shook in fright. Then a system pops up spawned right in front of Essence and Cinder. It was Kibo "Hey is it is me or did the moon js turn fu**ing red a few moments ago? wasnt gonna ask cuz im sleep deprived though it might be my brain. But I js saw goblins going crazy soooo am I under a spell or curse or smth?" Essence gasped "OH FU*K I FORGOT ITS GOING HAPPEN LIKE EVERYWHERE!" Kai responded "Oh yea I js hid inside like a building. I wanted to tell yall but I also got sh!t to do yk and its not like that serious lol!" Essence was quick to text "YOU DUMB@SS RET@RD IT'S PROBABLY BECAUSE YOUR AREA IS CLEAN. WHAT ABOUT THE REST? PLEASE RESPOND!" Sutairu was fast to respond "All clear. A few people died and the flying birds took like a few kids but other than that we are quite safe. There are a few crying and they are being a huge nascence, might just leave them behind at this point." Everyone was weirded out by his Emotionless words. Kai even called him weird. Essence was fast to smooth things out "Dont hes js adapting to this, RIght?" "Idk even if ts was not going on I prolly would hav still left these to die" Sutairu didn't really help. Essence told him to shut up and continued to check on the rest "What about the rest? How are they?" "Dude there is like 6 people expect u. 3 of which are talking to you and 1 is with u. How bad is ur math?" Essence had no words for Kibo. He just told Cinder to talk about the rest, and he ran off the help the of the people of base. Kibo asked Cinder with a hint of despair "Is he angry again?" "Well, if I was in his place i would be fr" Cinder's words made Kibo a little sad but they continued to discuss how to deal with this while also making contact with the remaining 2.
Essence wandered off to help the fighting people. It looked more like 1 sided butchering as many of them were killed by Rantaro and Herb. They were collecting the mana cores of the beasts. A guy flung an orb into the air and opened his mouth to eat it in style. But Essence caught it mid-air. The man was angry, but Essence shot him a death glare. He quickly backed off, but Essence approached him and patted him on the shoulder "Don't be scared I was just trying to offer you this. it will be inefficient to eat it, handshake?" The man shook Essence hand and Essence used the mana core and pored its mana into the man with contact. He waved him goodbye and left him puzzled but stronger. Essence saw a Rantaro fight and ran to help him. Hearing the sounds of footsteps Rantaro quickly spun his chains towards it. Essence came to a quick halt and put his arm up so the chain with a big lock at the end coiled up on his hands. It was dripping with blood. Essence made weird faces, but Rantaro was sorry "Are you hurt?" he asked with worry. Essence was blunt with his response "Well I'm fine because it's me. Anyone else would be dead by now." "But those anyone else won't be able to run as fast as a hobgoblin!" Rantaro's words held a little jealousy. "That's just a passive I got. If u keep running, I'm sure you'll also get it!" Rantaro's tone shifted "Even if I ran for an eternity, I won't have the word of God with me. Must be a dream of mine maybe." Essence lost his smile "Trust me. Even though it sounds like a cheat, I promise you, it's just a curse." Rantaro still didn't believe his words. Essence cheered up and continued "Anyways what are you up to?" "Nothing just finishing a few who ran off, anything u want?" Hearing Rantaro's agreement Essence's eyes began to shine. "YES! Come with me to the dragon's lair with a few people. We need to take its core, and I also have something else left to do." Rantaro wanted to slide away unnoticed, but Essence grabbed him and went to camp. He announced even to gather and follow him to the dragon's lair which got him a few stones, and many styles of footwear thrown at him which he dodged easily but, in the end, some agreed as alas it's their saviour's request. On the road to it Rantaro asked the most important question "Wait you didn't take the dragons core when you finished it off? What if some monster stole it? What if it became as strong as the dragon?" Essence quickly shunned him down "Are you stupid? you think I'll take what 15 something people to fight something as strong as that? Also, the core just holds the mana not its true power which was in its size. Also, the main reason why I left it there was-" Essence pointed at the dragon's corpse which had many beasts' dead near its core. Essence quickly ran to it and pulled out a core the size of a football. "The thing is, it's just mana is really dense and is quite small relative to the power inside of this football. Essence threw it at his foot and started to juggle it like a football. Everyone was scared of what Essence was doing but Essence assured them. Don't worry! everything is fine. Unless you don't try to pull mana form this. it's not harmful! though it's quite heavy and if you hold it near you for long, the mana radiating from it might be a little harmful." Essence then stores it in his inventory. Then tell them the main reason he called everyone here "I want to make another base here." Essence's words were met with disagreement by few of the gang members "Why do you need an extra base when you have the one already? If you have space issues, send a few people to us." Essence points at the building behind them. It's a tall tower. it was still under construction, so it only had a few people in the floors below, but it looked nice on the upper side. Everyone understood Essence's assignment. They all infiltrated the building which was empty except a few dead bodies and some cats. Essence and Rantaro were alone able to sweep through everything. Essence spots the guy he helped with the mana core also give a hand and give him a thumbs up. He assigned the people he brought to cleaning duties and went to base. He gathered everyone and told them they are moving to a new place. Everyone was angry because of the moving duties, but they all lit up in happiness when Essence told them it was the 5star rated Tower. They moved there as fast as wind. Wiping out everything in their path. As soon as they stepped foot into the building, they ran and 'borrowed' the rooms they liked. Essence gave the master key to the gang leader so she could guide them. Essence himself went down and saw Raghav and his elephants starting the work without him. He joined them and helped add a few finishing touches. Essence mounted the dead dragon to a few broken railway rods and made it his show piece. He stood to his words alas. Everyone cheered at the victory over the dragon and the moving of the base. In the middle of it. Essence saw Raghav wave to call him. When Essence approached, Raghav spilled "I'm going back to the zoo." Before Essence could say anything, Raghav got onto the elephant and left with his head down from sadness and eyes full of tears which flowed endlessly. Essence told Herb "Go tell the madam to leave a key for him and send a few people to check up on him occasionally." After herb left Cinder spoke in an Icey tone "You knew right? The monkey was going to take it? this is why you told me to throw and not slide it. I can't help but remember when I asked will you take a bullet for someone and you said-" Essence answered completed his words "nah because I'll be the one shooting. Nice memory!" Essence pats Cinder on his shoulder and leans on his ear "Don't take to your heart. I'm a Saviour not a Saint." Essence walks ahead leaving Cinder behind as he screams aloud under the dragon, so everyone hears him.
