Valentine Teller took a step and found herself unable to stand because of the pain in her foot. It was only then that she realized she had twisted it.
She grimaced in pain.
Seeing this, Mark Reed walked over to support her and slowly made his way toward the villa.
Just then, a bodyguard came over with some clothes and froze at the sight of Mark supporting Valentine.
Valentine had no idea the bodyguard knew Mark, or that her secret employer was actually Mark. She hurriedly explained to the bodyguard, "A wild boar suddenly charged at me just now, and this gentleman saved me. I invited him to come over for some tea."
The bodyguard said nothing and stepped aside.
Mark led Valentine back to the villa. They walked very slowly, as if they wanted to spend their entire lives walking like this.
After entering the villa, Valentine welcomed Mark to sit down and asked the maid to make some tea.
They sat on the sofa, separated by the coffee table.
