He gave her a mischievous look, and Madison Barton slapped him on the face, shouting, "Oh no, a mosquito."
Smacking away his smug grin, Madison tilted her head, sat down by the bed, and turned on the TV.
It felt quite strange today; Mom inexplicably pushed them together, while usually she'd be very chatty with Marvin Lennon. Dad too, and so did my brother. It seemed like no one wanted to chat today, as if they wanted to give them a chance to be alone.
Whatever, she watched her TV.
After a while, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in."
As she looked up, she saw Mother Barton coming in with some clothes in her hand. Judging by the patterns and fabric, it seemed like sleepwear.
"Mom, what's this?"
Getting a closer look, it really was sleepwear.
It seemed to be for men, probably not bought for her!
"Bought some sleepwear for little Marvin, it's already washed and clean."
