Valentine Teller looked at her phone, then at the man in the car whose expression was perfectly calm.
The man didn't look like a bad person; maybe he really was her brother.
"Home… is in Rivile City?"
Valentine clutched her phone, restless and uneasy. She didn't dare go with him alone, but Mark Reed still wasn't answering his phone. What was she supposed to do?
"No, in North City. If we leave now, we can get there before midnight."
Seeing how Valentine couldn't make up her mind, the man smiled and said, "If you have something to do, we can go back tomorrow. I'll stay in Rivile City for the night."
"I…"
Valentine frowned. If what he said was true, then of course the sooner she saw her family the better. She often imagined in her mind what her parents looked like; they must really want to see her too. But if they were scammers, criminals, and she just blindly went with them, the consequences would be unimaginable.
