Elder Master Xun carried a jug of wine, slowly stepping into the forbidden area of the back hill, into the Sword Tomb where murderous intent had faded and Sword Qi lay in ruin.
Within the Sword Tomb, Patriarch Dugu still sat steadfast atop the cliff's edge, unmoved by wind or rain, like a lonely stone.
Elder Master Xun placed the wine jug before Patriarch Dugu and spoke:
"Senior brother, today is a joyous day—have a drink."
Patriarch Dugu slowly opened his eyes, his gaze sharpening, a trace of disbelief in his voice:
"The Three Sects... have truly been unified again?"
"Indeed..." said Elder Master Xun with relief, "They're united again—now we are once more a family... It's just a pity, that name bore too much fate, it can't be used anymore."
Afterward, a trace of melancholy crossed his face.
For old relics like them, there was deep sentiment for the ancestral names.
