October 10th.
Screams could be heard as a large black castle shook with the vibration of it. Inside of one of the many rooms a woman with golden wavy hair and emerald green eyes. She was a screaming out in pure pain as a dark hand came and intertwined itself with hers. The woman opened her eyes and looked up to see her handsome husband. Long black hair and deep onyx eyes met hers as he smiled at her.
This man was Hades the king of the Underworld and his wife Persephone was currently giving birth to their child. However Hades' eye was twitching feeling his hand being crushed by his wife's strong hand. Finally after three grueling hours of pushing the baby out the wails of a baby could be heard. With a huff Persephone looked over and smiled seeing her child in the arms of her husband. Hades noticed her gaze and walked over while crouching showing the baby.
Hades:Say hello to your child.
Persephone:Hello my baby boy.
She said lifting him from Hades' grasp. The baby opened his eyes and saw his parents. Green and Black filled his vision as he reached for them. Hades held his finger out and it was grabbed by the baby.
Persephone:What should we name him?
Hades:How about Naruto?
Persephone:Naruto? Why would you name him that?
Hades:I read it in a book somewhere. It was named after the hero of a story.
Persephone:A hero hmm? Yes that sounds very nice. Naruto it is then.
Soon a year has passed as Naruto was crawling toward his mother and was picked up by her.
Persephone:Good boy! Now let's try walking this time.
She set him down and he placed his feet on the ground. The boy moved his feet on the ground as the goddess let go and Naruto kept standing. Persephone beamed as he began walking all on his own. She was about to hug him again but the doorr being slammed open. The shock made Naruto fall to the ground and try to get back up.
Persephone pouted and turned to Hades.
Persephone:You ruined it! He was walking and it was...adorable.
Her anger mellowed out as she saw the melancholy look on Hades' face.
Persephone:Dear? What's the matter?
Hades:They found out.
Persephone froze as she grabbed Naruto and stood up. She began shaking as her golden locks covered her face.
Persephone:How...How long does he have?
Hades:A week at most. Come on we need to hurry.
Persephone:N-No! Please Hades you can't send out child away! Just talk to your brother and maybe he'll-
Hades:I tried! I really did but...they said that the fates saw the end of us all...And they want to kill him.
Persephone:So we need to send him away.
Hades:I don't like it either but...In order for him to survive this needs to happen.
Persephone:P-Please just make sure he ends up in a good home.
Hades:I can't do that. But I can help him make sure that he survives no matter what.
He said and lead his wife to the black river that was in his lands.
Persephone:The River Styx? Why bring him here?
Hades:The warrior Achilles was dipped into the river as he was a baby and he became nearly invincible. But he had one thing that could kill him. We won't make that mistake.
He lowered Naruto in the river as Persephone leaned down and kissed his forehead. A glow come from his forehead and his body has begun to change.
Persephone:Listen closely my child. Your body will change and in this river you will be much stronger than before. Please never forget who your parents are.
Hades:My son wherever you end up I want you to be who you want to be. No matter who you grow up to be I will be proud of you no matter what. And know that your father will always be with you.
He said and kisses his forehead as well. A wave of darkness came from his forehead and washed over his body. They let him go as Persephone watched as his body sunk into the river. Hades grit his teeth as he closed his eyes and cursed his paranoid brother. Naruto reached out for them as his mother cried into Hades chest as he saw his father let a lone tear out. His vision went black as he felt the body of water overtake him and saw his hands and body become smaller.
With a start Naruto woke up and looked around.
Naruto:Same dream.
He said and got off of his bed and looked at today's date. October 10th. Naruto sighed seeing it was his birthday. Why would he sigh if it was his birthday you might ask? Most would think that it's too overwhelming on him.
No it was because of one reason. And a shout and cheer of a name. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAOMI!"
Naomi his twin sister had taken the spot light of his life. When they were born they had the nine tails sealed within them. Though Naruto was more conscious of this and felt something latch onto his soul and had started crying as a baby. As the years pass it would be clear that Naruto was physically gifted as shown when he was the first to walk at six months old and could talk at seven months. But that was easily outclassed when they were 4 and Naomi was doing training with their parents and had unlocked her chakra and released a massive reserve of chakra.
When it was time for Naruto to do it it was revealed that he had zero chakra. This was the start of his neglect by his parents Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. His parents had decided that focusing on their powerful daughter was more important than raising both children. It started as small things like forgetting to call him for dinner or not seeing his presence but then it started to get worse. When they went out Naruto wpuld sometimes be left behind and would be lost from his family but he would somehow know where they are.
Soon they started looking at him like he was more of a nuisance rather than their son. The villagers even see him as someone who isn't part of the Namikaze family. Mainly because of his different features. His hair was black rather then blonde or red and his eyes were a dark onyx as well. If it wasn't for the two being born at the same time they would have thought he was a different child along with the whisker marks on his face indicating that he was affected by the nine tails chakra.
Though his parents weren't the only ones that treated him like a stranger. His sister Naomi constantly made fun of him and teased him about how he was adopted. Strangely this made Naruto smile at the thought of the Uzumaki/Namikaze clan aren't his family. Naomi however didn't like this and just called him a bastard child and walked off. She also made sure that the children of the village weren't his friends stating that if any of them played with him then she wouldn't play with them officially making him an outcast of the child group.
Yet Naruto didn't falter and just distanced himself from them as well. Today it was his eight birthday and he had gotten ready for his day. It annoyed him how much Naomi was a brat on their birthday. He shiwered and got dressed and started brushing his teeth and fixed his straight black hair before walking downstairs. Once downstairs he saw everyone talking about Naomi and her special day.
Naruro just walked passed them and closes the door. Leaving the compound he smiles thinking of what he was going to do. The eight year old walked into the forest and saw a part of the forest that was more deadly than the rest. This was the renound training ground 44. Or more commonly known with Chunins as the Forest of Death.
Hearing this name one would shiver at hearing the name. But Naruto he just felt at ease at the forest. He jumped over the fence and landed on the other side of the fence. He walked into the forest with a smile on his face. An hour passed and Naruto was walking in the darkest parts of the forest covered in shadows.
Naruto:I'm here.
He said sitting down and he felt someone watching him. He leaned back with his head against a tall and thick tree. The biggest in the forest and felt the life energy it released.
-Underworld-
Persephone looked into a flower and gushed at the black haired boy. She held a cake in her hands and a lotus flower opened up and she placed the cake down on the flower and watched it open up.
Persephone:Happy birthday my black lotus.
She said smiling as her door opened and she grabbed the flower and made it turn into a seed.
Hades:What were you doing?
Persephone:Just some maintenance.
Hades:You were looking at him again, weren't you?
Persephone:....Yes. I'm sorry. I know we can't see him anymore but....I....I just miss my son!
She said with tears in her eyes. Hades smiled and crouched down next to her and rubbed her back.
Hades:It's fine. I miss him too. But we can give part of us to him.
Persephone looked up at him with teary eyes and smiled.
Persephone:Y-You mean...it's time?
Hades:Yes. Come along. The stars are aligned but not for long. Prepare what you want to give him.
-Human world:Forest of death-
Naruto was sleeping against the tree. He smelled something sweet and opened his eyes. He looked down seeing a slice of chocolate cake. It was presented with a plate and a fork. He smiled and looked down at the treat and picked it up.
Naruto:My favorite! Thank you. Whoever you are.
He said and began eating. Once he took the first bite the flavor exploded in his mouth. He finished the cake in minutes and smiled happily with chocolate on his face. Suddenly he felt sleepy and immediately suspected the cake. He fell down and a bed of flowers had caught him and darkness enveloped him and made him invisible to others.
-Naruto's Mindscape-
Hades:Naruto.
The boy squirmed and clenched hisneyes before opening them and looking up and saw a handsome man wearing a dark black suit and had long black straight hair.
Naruto:Oh. Hello there mister.
Hades:My so polite. And you look so much like me.
Naruto:I do?
Hades:Of course. You are my son after all.
Naruto:Son?
Naruto suddenly remembered his dream. The man and woman that put him in the river.
Naruto:I remember! You....you gave me away.
Naruto said as he held his head down. Then he felt two hands on his shoulders and looked up.
Hades:Son I never wanted to give you up. Your mother and I love you dearly. It broke us when we saw you leave.
Naruto:Why'd you give me up if you live me then?!
He said looking up at his father with a bit of a glare. Hades sighed and stepped back before creating chairs out of darkness.
Hades:Take a seat. I'm going to explain everything.
And that he did. Never missing any detail about the prophecy. The heartbreak his mother felt and the sorrow his father felt. And everything that had led up to this day.
Hades:So now at eight years old it is time we give you your gifts.
Hades reached into his inner suit pocket and pulled out a dark purple ring.
Naruto:Woah that's pretty.
Hades:It is isn't it? Son this ring is something of my own creation. It has various uses such as the infinite void of darkness in it that can hold anything and place it in stasis. No matter what is put in it or how long it is in there it won't age the second it has been in there. It can also transform into anything you want it to as well. A cloak, a blade, even a pen.
Naruto:That's amazing!
Hades:That's not all my Son. A good warrior also needs a weapon. So....
Lifting his arms out weapons made out of darkness appeared.
Hades:Choose your weapon.
Naruto looked around seeing various weapons. Many of them looked interesting and reached his hand out. His hand disappeared in a ripple of purple and felt something grazing his fingertip. He grasped something that felt like leather and pulled out a dagger. It was a double sided dagger about 12 inches long. The two sides have a different color. Purple and black while on the other side was the same thing except the colors swapped places.
Hades:Ah good choice. That dagger is very special. It can cut through anything it touches. Even if it is with the slightest amount of strength it can cut it. Even your enhanced body.
Naruto:Enhanced body? I've always been strong.
Hades:Yes. Your body is by far the strongest in this world. And since you were reincarnated from the river your body will only get stronger the older you get. Thanks to the effect of the river Styx.
Naruto:The River that I was submerged in.
Hades:Yes. Now then the other side of your blade can cut through space.
Naruto:Through space?
Hades:Yes. Test it out once you leave this place. But be careful. Not only can that blade cut anything it can transform according to your magic.
Naruto:What's magic?
Hades:Ah yes. Well your mother will explain that to you.
Naruto:M-My mother?! I can see her too?
Hades:Of course.
He crouched down and hugged the boy.
Hades:Stay safe my boy.
Naruto hugged him back and closed his eyes not wanting the man to leave. He soon felt emptiness and opened his eyes to see he was in a beautiful area. Infront of him was a lake clear as glass and reflective off of the sun. The clouds glided across the sky and a cool breeze pushed against his face moving his hair. He was about to walk around when his ears picked up something and he turned around and saw a long haired blonde woman smiling at him while running toward him. She had tears in her eyes and kneeled down and hugged him.
Persephone:My baby boy!
Naruto:Uh...Are you my mother?
Persephone:Yes my precious son. I'm your mother.
Naruto:I...I see.
He hugged the woman finally feeling the warmth of a mother and hugged her. He cried a little bit but managed to hold it in.
Naruto:U-Um...What's your name?
Persephone:Oh excuse me. My name is Persephone.
Naruto:I would say my name but I'm sure you know it already.
He said and Persephone moved and looked him over.
Persephone:You look so much like your father.
Naruto:Do I? Hehe I guess I do.
Persephone:Now then. I believe it's time for your gifts.
She brushes her hands against the ground and they sink in. Pulling her hands out a book.
Naruto:A book?
Persephone:The Necronomicon. You'll need it to be able to control your powers.
Naruto:Um...I'm sorry.
Persephone:For what sweetie?
Naruto:I don't have any power. I don't have chakra.
Persephone:Oh? Ahaha my child you don't need that useless garbage.
Naruto:Huh?
Persephone:Naruto you were born with the power of magic. With it you can conjure several spells and summon various beings to help you. Go ahead and try it.
She said and handed the book to him. Naruto grabbed it and sat with his legs crossed. Persephone picked him up and sat him in her lap with a smile and hugged him close. Naruto opened the book and saw the words pop off the page and start to go into his mind. A minute passed before the words stopped and Naruto's onyx eyes glowed silver for a bit before returning to normal.
Naruto:I get it now! Magic is awesome!
He exclaimed looking through the pages of the book. He stopped at a page before seeing the various spells he could do.
Naruto:Can you teach me some of these spells?
Persephone:Of course Naruto. But it will have to wait until I can come back.
Naruto:You're leaving?
Persephone:Yes. But I'll be back on your next birthday.
Naruto:Okay.
He said and got up. The goddess stood up as well and gathered her mana into a small ball in her hand. She gave it to Naruto who took it and looked through it. The white color made it shine through the sun.
Naruto:What is this?
Persephone:That is pure magic. You already have the power of mana within you but if you ingest that it will give you a much bigger mana supply than you already have.
Naruto:Alright. Thank you mom!
He said with a smile as Persephone smiled at him and hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Soon he was enveloped in darkness again and woke up and saw he was in the forest of death again. Looking around he saw his birthday gifts lined up neatly infront of him. His ring, dagger and Necronomicon.
Moving around he felt something in his pocket. He reaches in and pulls out the white orb.
Naruto:So it was real.
He smiles and begins to cry at the fact that he has someone who genuinely loves him.
Naruto:Right....I'll get stronger. Stronger than anyone in this world! And then...go back home.
