Yuta went out in search of the one man who might actually be able to teach him Conqueror's Haki infusion. His first choice was none other than the legendary Dancing Daimyo of Wano, Oden himself.
Finding Oden was the easiest part of the whole plan. After all, how hard could it be to spot a twelve-foot-tall man in nothing but a loincloth, wildly dancing in the middle of the street? Villagers didn't even look surprised anymore; they just sighed and continued with their day like this was perfectly normal.
"There he is," Yuta muttered, rubbing his forehead. "The man who scarred Kaido… once, here he was acting like a perverted uncle, dancing naked on the street."
Maki, who tagged along just to see what kind of person Oden was, had her jaw half open. "Him again… are you even sure this is the guy we're looking for? He doesn't look like a strong man?" Maki asked, though his size alone was enough to tell how strong Oden truly was.
"Yeah," Yuta sighed. "Every single day he dances here. He thinks he's saving Wano like this."
"Is this Conqueror's infusion really worth this much?" Maki couldn't help but ask.
"Yes, it is. This one technique separates the true strongest forces of the sea from the rest. There are very few people who can even have Conqueror's Haki in the first place. It's rare—very rare.
Among them, those who can master Conqueror's to the level where they can weaponise it… one can count them on their fingers." Yuta nodded.
"Hmm… what exactly is this Conqueror's Haki then?" Maki asked, curious, wondering whether this could help her get stronger.
"Seems like you weren't listening when Marco was explaining Haki." Yuta sighed. Though this wasn't really Maki's fault. Marco had barely mentioned that there were three types of Haki to both of them, and he only explained two while teaching them.
"Conqueror's Haki is the third kind of Haki. Unlike Observation and Armament, this Haki is innate—one has to be born with it and unlock it by themselves. It normally makes anyone pass out as long as their will is weaker than the Haki projected.
However, it only works at the lower level. At higher levels, when fighting strong opponents like the Admirals who don't possess Conqueror's Haki, and Emperors who do, this power is pretty much useless outside of intimidation.
Of course, that's only until one learns how to weaponise Conqueror's Haki. By learning Conqueror's infusion, one can truly become the strongest powerhouse in the world."
Hearing this, Maki finally realised why no one had told her about this Haki before. An innate power. Maki was already losing interest; she was never born with anything extraordinary, so she didn't believe this time would be any different.
If only she knew how strong that damn Heavenly Restriction of her's was. Gym bros would die to get that kind of strength and physique.
Yuta, after explaining, focused his attention back on Oden. Before Maki could ask anything else, Yuta walked forward, determined.
"Oi! Kozuki Oden!" Yuta shouted. This yell not only attracted the attention of normal civilians but also people secretly stationed there, tied to the Kozuki faction. Everyone looked at Yuta.
Yuta didn't care though. He just walked up to the man and asked directly. "I've come to learn from you!"
Oden didn't even stop twirling. He flung his long arms in the air, his hair whipping around, his steps making the ground shake. "Ahhhh! My dance is justice! My dance is freedom!"
Yuta blinked. "Yeah, cool dance moves, but I need you to teach me Conqueror's infusion!"
Oden froze mid-step. Even someone knowing about Conqueror's Haki in Wano was unheard of, let alone the advanced application of Conqueror's Haki—something he himself had only learned after sailing with Whitebeard and then Roger. However, he quickly snapped out of his daze and started laughing loudly.
"Teach you? Right now? Can't you see I'm busy dancing?!" He spun again, nearly knocking over a food stand, then posed with one leg in the air. "Behold! The dance of salvation!"
Yuta pinched the bridge of his nose. 'I understand his intentions are noble; however, he is a pain in the butt.'
Maki crossed her arms, smirking. "You sure this is the legendary warrior who scarred Kaido?"
"Don't laugh! He really did it!" Yuta argued. "It's just… it hasn't happened yet." Yuta murmured those words so quietly that Maki barely heard them.
Gathering his patience, Yuta tried again. "Listen, Oden, I know why you're dancing. You're trying to save Wano, right? You're sacrificing your pride to protect the people. I know what Kurozumi did, I understand why you have to dance, I do..." Yuta spoke.
Oden once again paused his dance. No one suppose to know about his and Kaido's deal. It was deal he made with both Orochi and Kaido. That in five years, they will not harm any citizen of Wano and at the end of the term would leave this land if Oden decides to dance like this in humiliation, forsaking all his dignity and grace.
"Noble cause I assure you, however, do you really believe those snakes to keep their words." Yuta said, almost making Oden second-guess his resolution for a second before the man was back to dancing, ignoring the boy.
'Sigh, why I even try...' Yuta sigh in defeat. Its was pointless to change Oden's mind, he was the kind who don't change his decision once they made one. No matter what.
"Anyway, that not my concern. All I wish is to learn Conqueror's infusion from you. That all...
Can't you take, like, ten minutes off to show me how to use advanced Haki?"
No one should have believed Kaido, but Oden did. If only Oden wasn't dancing right now and instead acted directly against Kaido, yes many would have perish, however, if only he acted while Kaido wasn't yet at his future prime strength, there was a real possibility that Wano would never have fallen under Kaido's and Orochi's control.
Oden just shook his head dramatically. "No! I must dance! If I stop, disaster will fall on my people! Their lives depend on my rhythm!"
"Rhythm my ass…" Yuta muttered. "You look like a drunk uncle at a wedding."
Oden stomped his foot, glaring, but then burst out laughing. "You've got spirit! I like you! But still—no. I cannot stop. My dance comes first."
Yuta threw his hands up. "Unbelievable. The one man who could actually help me, and he's too busy shaking his ass in public."
Even after hours of trying—pleading, bargaining, even offering him an alternative way to save Wano—Oden refused. He would not break his daily dance, no matter what.
Finally, Yuta sighed in defeat. "Fine. Dance your life away. I'll figure this out myself."
As they walked off, Maki whispered, trying not to laugh, "So… what's next? You gonna ask Kaido to give you lessons next?"
Yuta groaned. "Don't tempt…" Just as he was saying it, he paused, blinking as he turned to Maki, face unusually plain.
"Oh no… I know what you're thinking. Even you're not that big of an idiot to really do that." Maki immediately had a bad feeling.
"I'm desperate enough to actually give it a try." Yuta replied, mind already spinning, making plans.
