"ROFA 75 Shock Style Overdrive. Shattering Collapse."
Air vibrated, and the oppressive feeling from Kaido's upcoming attack was overtaken by the man standing in front of them.
Then he punched forward, seemingly into the void, but the moment the punch fell, the space itself cracked. Golden lines, like spider webs breaking the very fabric of space, appeared.
The next second, a force so colossal that it almost uprooted everyone around them shifted the entire air pressure in the area.
An astonishing scene was witnessed by those who saw these two attacks collide.
Fire and air mixed together, and then, like the breaking of glass, began to shatter the very space itself.
"BOOM!"
What followed was an explosion of epic proportions, rattling the old ruins of Oden Castle and nearly shifting the very mountain they stood on. It almost blew away those standing behind Yuta.
If earlier they were gobsmacked, then at the sight of this explosion, they all almost lost consciousness.
"Oh my God, what was that?"
"H-how is that possible?"
"I'm alive, hehe... I'm alive!"
"We are alive!"
The coward trio almost found new breath at that point, quickly huddling together while checking to make sure they were still alive.
Seeing Nami's dress, Yuta for a second thought he wouldn't mind a place there himself. But no… focus.
"My word... Lord Yuta is as impressive as always," Kinemon spoke, his legs shaking like he had seen a ghost.
Maki, for the most part, retained her composure, but even she was shaken. Just another reminder of how strong her boyfriend was. Sometimes the idiot acted in such a way that she almost forgot.
It was hard to believe he was the same guy sometimes.
Momonosuke, who had turned into a dragon out of fright upon seeing Kaido, had his eyes popping when Yuta's King's Engine activated. If anything, the pressure multiplied — and then came the explosion.
Once it was over, Yuta found his back completely occupied by three trembling figures. Nami pressing her ever-so-impressive balloons onto his back, Chopper hanging completely onto one of his legs, while Usopp was nearly rubbing his snot on the other.
"Oi, what are you doing? Let me go!" Yuta shouted, jumping back when he realized that snot was only a few inches away from ruining his pants.
"Big brother, please save us! You're our savior!" Usopp shamelessly declared him his big brother.
"Wha— Yuta, where have you been all this time? Whaaaa!" Chopper broke into tears.
"Ah... it feels so safe when you're with me, Yuta." As for Nami, she had the beauty trap to play. Works all the time.
All the time — as long as one Maki Zenin wasn't there. Unfortunately for Nami, Maki was right there.
She practically peeled Nami off with one hand and tossed her aside.
At the loss of the warmth from Nami's "close contact," Yuta almost frowned. Keyword being almost — and that saved him.
He was far more worried about Usopp and his snot anyway.
"Stay away from him, will you?" Maki almost snarled.
"Ah, possessive Maki is sexy AF."
The others were panting heavily — little did they know how long they had been holding their breath.
"Good work, Yuta." Luffy, who had been rushing toward Okobore Town with Law, almost had a heart attack when Kaido attacked where his crew was, but upon seeing Yuta take care of it, he calmed down.
Kaido, far away from them, looked astonished when he saw his attack disrupted midway. He didn't quite catch who did it, but he intended to find out.
However, before he could even make his way toward the ruins of Oden Castle, he found a giant black fist coming down toward him—
Crushing him into the ground. It was Luffy, who had rushed forward after knowing his friends were safe.
Yuta, from further away, watched the fight taking place, and only two options came to mind: whether to go and fight Kaido.
With all his preparations, he was almost 50% sure he could take down the dragon. Even if that percentage were near 100%, though, that wasn't the option he was leaning toward.
Kaido wasn't the only one he had to fight here — there was the entire Beast Pirates.
Their own power was currently shattered. Acting right now was unwise. Not to mention, the current Luffy wasn't strong enough to handle the upcoming fight.
"Meh… I just wanna kick that dragon bastard's ass," Yuta said with frustration. Technically, he should stay away, wait for the right time — however, he just didn't want to.
He didn't work so hard for nothing. It was time to see what he had learned.
"Maki, stay with the others and get out of here. I'm going to give my old sensei a visit," he said, and the next second, with Soru, he was gone.
"Sigh... there he goes again." Maki could only shake her head.
Back in Okobore Town, the fight between Luffy and Kaido had broken out. Luffy was constantly attacking Kaido with his Gear 4.
Though the ultimate outcome was him getting knocked out with a single "Thunder Bagua" from Kaido.
To Luffy's credit, this attack from Kaido was one of his strongest — he had infused his Conqueror's Haki into it. Let alone Luffy; no member of the Worst Generation would have been able to take it and stay conscious.
Once Luffy was down, Kaido ordered his lackeys to take him away and imprison him in the Udon prison area. Kaido didn't wish to kill these pirates — they made great soldiers for his army.
All it needed was to break their will.
Just as they were about to do that, a strong wave of Conqueror's Haki emitted from the unconscious Luffy, attracting Kaido's attention — all but for a second, of course.
"So, you also have the color of the supreme king. Tch, this sea doesn't need so many conquerors." He snorted and was ready to move on when, with a loud booming sound, someone landed nearby.
Dust settled, and the face that revealed itself halted Kaido's transformation.
"You."
He knew the boy — this was the one who had punched him into the sea.
"Yo, hisashiburi!"
