After nearly an hour of farcical comedy where the boss was lured and distracted by Karl's team, the battle was finally over, and a shining gold and purple treasure chest stood in the middle of the building where they had fought the final boss.
"Well done, ladies and gentlemen. Now, it's time to claim our rewards. Did someone on your team happen to have a luck buff? If not, we can have the badger open the chest.
That tends to give unpredictable, but better than average, rewards." Karl offered.
The Elves silently shook their heads. None of them had a skill or bonus that would help them get better rewards from the dungeon. If they had such a skill, they wouldn't have to look for random groups at the entrance, their presence would be in huge demand every time they showed up.
But Karl didn't seem to mind about that, or the fact that the next time he showed his furry ears in public he was going to be swarmed by admirers, not just for his appearance, but for his dungeon skills.
