"Nature Breathing Origin form third step: Moonless night sky. " Izanami's calm voice rang through the battlefield as the world suddenly began to fall silent.
And in this deadly silence, only the sound of Izanami's sword drawing was heard. Although this act was nothing special for Hagoromo or any other person, this simple action looked like the Grim Reaper swinging her blade at their necks.
All of their instincts screamed at them to run the hell out of here. But now that Izanami had drawn her blade, how could they escape so easily?
Her blade suddenly began to turn black, and red lightning crackled, making the space shudder.
Izanami's blade came in contact with Hagoromo's Truth-seeking orbs, and like a knife cutting through butter, Izanami's blade sliced through the four Truth-seeking orbs without any resistance.
This scene shocked Hagormo so much that his jaw almost touched the ground like a cartoon character. For a moment, Hagormo even doubted whether he was trapped inside a genjutsu.
You know that is the truth-seeking orb he made by himself. And unlike what Madara and Obito would have in the future, his truth-seeking orbs are far stronger than anything they can imagine.
Just like how the chakra of a grown person is far stronger than that of a kid, Hagoromo, who had lived for many years, managed to compress and perfect the Truth-seeking orbs. Furthermore, more of Hagoromo's truth-seeking orbs are powered by his own Six Paths chakra, making them far more dangerous and resistant to nature energy.
Even if it was Kaguya who came in person, Hagoromo had confidence that he would be able to beat his mother to a pulp with just utilizing his truth-seeking orbs alone.

After becoming the Sage of Six Paths and sealing his mother in the moon, Hagoromo had never felt such fear. But now that blade made him finally realize this long-forgotten feeling.
Feeling panicked, Hagoromo activated his eye technique, Omnience, to see through all this madness.
But seconds later, he wished he had not done that. It seems fate is not on his side. As soon as he used his eye technique, all he was met with was an error message.
This once again crashed Hagormo's brain into a sudden halt. This has never happened in all of Hagormo's life.
Ever since he awakened his Rinnegan ability, he has been unstoppable. He never needed to worry too much, as his skill allowed him to know everything.
In fact, the reason why he even got his title as 'Sage' was largely due to this skill. All the fuinjutsu he and his brother founded were actually something Hagoromo made after using this skill.
So, simply speaking, he cheated his way and used Fujitsu to make a seal that would trap his mother forever. And it was after countless years of studying that he mastered Fuinjutsu to create the Sun and Moon Seals that allowed Naruto and Sasuke to seal Kaguya in the original series.
But today, witnessing his ability giving nothing but errors, Hagoromo began to doubt his life. Could there really be something his omniscience couldn't see through?
Unfortunately, Hagoromo couldn't get answers to this question, as Izanami's blade had already pierced his chest.
All those sudden mental breakdowns made him unable to react in time, resulting in him getting seriously injured.
But Izanami wasn't done yet.
"Nature Breathing water form fourth step: collapsing Tsunami, " Izanami shouted as she gripped her katana and swung it counter-clockwise.
A huge amount of water suddenly appeared from Izanami's blade, and in the next moment, Hagormo was blasted away like someone caught up in a tsunami.
After the huge water column disappeared, Izanami looked at the battlefield. Hagoromo, who was supposed to only be blasted away for a few meters, was nowhere to be found.
"Tsk, it seems he got away, " Izanami clicked her tongue as she sheathed her katana back and reverted back to her usual form.
Although she was annoyed about Hagoromo's escape, she wasn't that surprised. Although her moonless night sword strike hit Hagoromo and severely injured him, she knew that alone was not enough to bring him down.
Even though Hagoromo lost the ten tails, he was still someone who had the blood of the Otsusuki clan inside him. Those guys are like cockroaches, very hard to kill.
"Tsk, here I thought Conqueror's Haki entanglement would be enough to stop his regeneration, " Izanami sighed to herself.
That was one of her trump cards she prepared especially for people with high regeneration abilities.
Her Moonless night sky would slice through the enemy, and Conqueror's haki would deal more damage internally.
Although this trick may have killed many overconfident beings, Hagoromo managed to escape despite his injury.
"Well, at least I now know what abilities he has. " Izanami said to console herself. "Ah, who am I kidding, damn it?" After not being able to hypnotize herself of the small victory, Izanami kicked the ground in annoyance.
The Earth cracked, and a massive earthquake happened all over the Pure Land due to the force of Izanami's kick.
And the destruction caused by this earthquake was far greater than the damage that happened due to their fight.
Seeing this, Izanami instantly calmed down. She was now a little embarrassed. After all, she was supposed to be the guardian, but she herself seemed to be the person who was causing more harm.
Thankfully, there isn't a supervisor, or Izanami is sure she would have had to hear an earful. Well, then again, it is she who has to clean this mess, so maybe this is karma.
Sighing, Izanami began to use her powers to repair the broken parts of the Pure Land while searching for any clues Hagoromo had left during his escape. Although she can't sense him, it would only be a matter of time before she finds his whereabouts.

In a deeper part of the Pure Land, a small crack appeared in mid-air, and a bloodied person fell down to the ground from it.
This person had a deep wound on his chest and multiple other sword slashes marked all over his body. His white kimono was dyed red with his blood.
This person is none other than Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the Sage of Six Paths himself. After getting heavily injured by Izanami's blade, he finally woke up to reality. Using an escape technique he prepared beforehand, Hagoromo escaped the battlefield before Izanami's sword strike, 'collapsing Tsunami,' could worsen his injuries.
"Damn it, Izanami, you really are filial." Hagoromo cursed angrily as he weakly tried to stand up.
But despite his efforts, he couldn't stand up as his injuries began to worsen.
Groaning in pain, Hagoromo decided that healing his injuries first would be the best option, so he brought his hand near his chest where Izanami's sword pierced him. Green light began to gather around his hands as he activated his medical ninjutsu.
But as soon as the green light touched his wounds, suddenly red lightning began to come out from nowhere.
"Ahhhhhhh."
Hagormo screamed as he stopped trying to use medical jutsu to heal his wounds. Then as soon as he took his hand away, the red lightning also disappeared.
"DAMN YOU, IZANAMI!" Hagoromo shouted with bloodshot eyes. He would have his revenge sooner or later.
