Liz hadn't just recruited employees; she had poached some of the oldest, most experienced master jewelry craftsmen from her father's own company. Those men weren't easily replaceable. They were veterans who had spent decades refining their craft, producing some of the company's finest pieces, and training the next generation.
If her father found out...
Hera could already imagine the dark look settling over his face.
She rubbed her forehead with another helpless sigh.
"The last thing I want is to antagonize Liz's family business," she muttered. "I don't want her father thinking I encouraged her to hollow out his company just so we'd have an easier time with ours."
That was never Hera's intention.
She wanted to build her own brand on its own merits, not by crippling someone else's, least of all the family of one of her closest partners.
"Relax, babe," Athena said with a laugh. "Liz did get smacked on the head a couple of times by her father when she first brought it up."
